As much as I’d like that tweet to mean something, I don’t think it means he’s starting. It probably means he’s been told he’ll get to play once we get up by 63 points, a safe distance between us and them so when our DB’s give up a few long TD passes, it won’t matter.

Please name ONE 3rd year QB UT that has been worse than JG. Don't give me the bs about QBR either. I would take Crompton's 900 more yards, 15 more TDs, and 11 more picks his senior year over JGs stats last year! Crompton made mistakes. But, he moved the O down the field to score more pts with his passing without relying on rushing and check downs. By the way, your Golden Boy's QBR is 47.3 this year and would be MUCH WORSE had Jennings not scored a TD instead of letting one pass vs BYU being a INT!!! THAT QBR IS VS GA ST and BYU, PATHETIC!!!!! You can't even use your GO TO QBR this year!!!!

Or they don’t see the need to make the same post in every thread they jump into. They actually care a lot about football and want to see this team succeed more than anyone. They hate losing more than winning and hold Tennessee to that standard. Fans have absolutely nothing to do with what’s on the field your clearly just looking for a reason to keep standing on your soap box....

His sideline behavior is fair game if it can help explain what's going on with the team right now.

He was an immature freshman who wanted to play and was upset. Oh the humanity! Herbie was out of line on this and I don’t think it was fair to JG. I saw a kid who was barely 18 years old and wasn’t handling well his spot on the bench. Don’t you want your QB upset about not getting to play?? Herbie just tried to create drama. I mean, Herbie literally said JG should’ve been sitting with Dormady on the bench when Dormady was hanging on with one cheek with the Olineman. Was JG supposed to sit in Dormady’s lap? The cameras took herbie’s lead and immediately cut to JG after Dormady’s TD to try to create drama. What BS. JG was a freshman having a very natural and very freshman reaction to wanting to play. Face it, the people who are pointing this out now have already been hating on him all year. It’s disingenuous as all get out.

The specific reason the team record can't be worse... is the QB play has been terrible.

It was "worse" the one game for Dormady vs UGA. Prior to that, it has not been "worse" since around the time Sims started in front of Bray.

This REMINDS US ALL THAT JG IS ALL ABOUT HIM! He wasn't even excited FOR HIS TEAM when the TD was scored vs Ga Tech making it a one score game. His attitude and disposition was that of a sulking baby! He has never shown many of us any reason to think he is anymore than a 'it's all about me' guy. Yes, many football players are on different levels. JG seems to worry about himself at the highest level. Maybe it is one of the reasons he checks down so much and don't risk throwing into tight coverage. Who knows? I don't dislike the guy. But, I am tired of his QB PLAY or LACK OF IT!!!

Every backup QB on every D1 team in college football wants the guy in front of him to fail. If you don’t thinks that’s true then you don’t know human nature

well, since we're talking about last year how about Vandy, Florida. We could speak to this year, this game is more than about stats on a sheet of paper. Do his individual stats mean a damn thing in the win department? No, he is what his record says he is.

Of course. But I want him to want to earn it more. By all accounts at that point Dormady had won the job outright. Jones pretty obviously didn't like that outcome and kept the "competition" open until Dormady played poorly then got injured giving him an opportunity to change QB's. It seems likely that no one thought JG should be playing... except JG.

I've never hated him. I've had some reservations but have given him credit for moving past that one event. He at least doesn't show it openly if he has those feelings.
