I keep hearing people compare head coaches like the head coaches actually do something.

Other than Lane Kiffin, most head coaches pick a staff and manage the team. The success on the field is actually due to the OC, DC, and position coaches.

With that said, do you think Chaney is on a review period? Kind of like when you get a job you have a 90 day probation period so the employer can tell if they want to keep you?

If so, since Chaney is a hold over from the Lane Kiffin era and isn't showing anything explosive on offense, do you think Dooley will start looking at other options for next year? Because by year 3, if Dooley's squad (coaches) isn't producing, he may be on the hot seat himself.

Who all thinks Chaney's play calling has been weak thus far?

good play calling. bad execution. thats how i see it to be honest. and its going to take better, more experienced players for that to happen so we might have to wait a couple years.

Chaney is not the problem. He is working with a green QB, a line with 3 true freshmen and with jones on the bench hurt. Penalties-on 3rd down- and youth are the reason we are struggling on offense. We will come around soon. You are looking at possibly the best o- line in 3 years. Patience.... GBO!!!

I think some playcalls have been pretty bland, and Simms has probably thrown the ball too much. Other than that, I'm good.

There is no possible way to fairly assess anyone on this staff. We don't have continuity, experience, or stability. There's nothing to base firings, or hirings on as of now.

Chaney is fine.

I did agree with Andre Ware when talking about taking the running backs out after they make a good run & how it messes up their rhythm

I would like to see the Offense opened up a little more, but if the line can't block, and the WR can't catch there's not alot you can do

Sean freaking Payton couldn't help out an offense that consists of four freshman on the Oline, a JUCO QB, and a freshman recieving corp.

Exactly...why is that hard for so many to figure out...im alot more frustrated with the fan base thatn any player or coach

That's just where we're at on Offense.

I think it's where we're at because a lot of the playbook is new to current personnel and not totally grasped to newer, young personnel. Not because of ability. Misdirection (outside of playaction bootlegs), screens. These are things we don't run often that would probably keep us in the game against aggressive, fast defenses.....like the one we're about to go up against. The bubble screen to Da'Rick against UAB? Worked like a charm. Did we run it again? Well...
