Stop the run. The Gators knew Bama was gonna run and Richardson would still get 7 or 8 yrds. That O line at Bama is where we need to get ours. Richardson and Lacey is a load.

i think tennessee can beat bama this year. all we have to do is stop the run. and an occasional pass to maze.
stop bama's oline from pushing the runner forward.

Winning the lottery or beating Bama. ...Hmmm... I have a better chance of Winning the lottery than UT does at beating Bama.
Bama's just that good this year.

Yes. Then we come out winners because no one gets hurt. We hid and ran from UNC, I see nothing wrong with running from Bama.

We have pretty close to zero chance against Alabama (not quite zero, because you never know what can happen). I love the Volunteers as much as anyone, but until we prove it to the world that we can actually beat a good team in a meaningful game, we're going to be on the outside looking in. As much as I love this team, I am sceptical myself. Guess I've been burned too many times over the last decade with us going in to the Swamp and to Bowl Games and laying a huge egg right in the middle of the field.

Turning in disgraceful performances against the top competition on the big stage has become a trademark of Tennessee football. I'm looking forward to that ending sometime soon, but until it does, I'll be a sceptic. Our team has to prove it on the field. That performance against Florida a couple of weeks ago did nothing to change any of that.

Come on, Vols!!!! Let's get over this hump and back on track!!!!!! It starts this weekend against UGA. If we can't beat a vulnerable Georgia team at home under these conditions, I'll have my doubts as to whether we'll be anything more than a 6 win team (at best) for the next several years.

Any Given Saturday!
That being said:
1) LSU might have a chance to beat Bama.
2) We couldn't gain positive yards against UF, yet Bama lined up and literally ran it down their throat anytime they wanted to. (226 yds)
3) Demps/Rainey combined for 316 yds against us(rushing + receiving). They combined for 42 yds against Bama.
4) Someone said we were being compared to a Div II team. We are a Div I team. The problem is Bama is a semi pro team right now.
5) The last time we beat a top 10 team was 2006.
6) We just aren't there yet.

I will still start the day with hope. I will be proud if we can just show up and not be blown out and totally dominated like a good UF team did yesterday.

Loss by 10 but look at this way!! We had a mental let down with Hunter went out! Spotted them 10 or 14 points before we got on the board! Gave up 2 big plays and we still had our chances to win this game!!!

We blew as many chances to win as we did to loose, we are not a bad team here!! I am not sold on LSU offense nor Alabama's offense. They see we can only throw the ball, they can only run the ball. Running the ball is a simple fix. Like Coach Dooley said our RB's have to attack the whole!

I believe we have a chance D has to gang tackle, Offense just had to protect the ball, I believe we can knock of both!! But one will do just as good as long as that one is Bama!! Go Vols!!

Not to mention from halfway in the third quarter to the end of the game the D put the clamps on them gators.

DC just can't keep spotting these SEC teams before we make adjustments.

The general consensus is 0% chance. I can't remember being so scared of a team. Can Richardson run over J.Smith and Malik ? It will take some massive scheming by wilcox to force Bama to go to the air. BTW , the reason we are talking about Bama is because we can beat USCe , Georgia and LSU is at home giving us the some hope. Just saying IF we do beat LSU , we will be beat up and Then hit the road to tuscalooooooser. We would need Bama to fumble some punts and D.Young to take a couple to the house. It makes me nauseous actually. We will know more this coming weekend. If we beat Georgia (soundly), we make the top 25 and rightfully so. We have the best QB in the SEC. Auburn has the best OC in Gus . A freakin master mind in finding a way to win (fwiw). In closing , find the run game !

Provided we play the best we will all year in addition to some Qb carousel nonsense from Bama and a couple of timely goofs.

We aren't gonna find a run game against no bama. smh. They are more talented and way hungry. Saban will remind them of how they blew 3 games last yr. The only games they could realistically lose is lsu and the iron bowl because it's a rivalry and it's in auburn.

Anything could happen, but sad to say I just don't see us beating them this year. Way too many high paid players compared to the rest of the SEC.

No offense but that's comparable to finding a needle in a haystack right now. There are a lot of factors involved for UT not having a running game and the problem will continue to exist and be more glaring when we are up against teams like UGA, LSU and Bama.

yeah it would be a MIRACLE if we were to upset bama...but they way they crushed FL last night theres no chance in hell we win this game...prob be 35-0 at half if we are lucky to even score...got lots to work on if we want to keep the game somewhat close to have a chance, but we will have to score on every possession to have a remote chance...but no we lose #2 on the year in 2 weeks...:cray:

s***!! way bama has been going I see them going UNDEFEATED!! 14-0 and winning the title again for the second time in 3 yrs...noone will stop them this yr!!
