Yeah, there's a lot of money involved and I'm sure they did try to cross the line as far as making the athlete play more than they should, etc., but it's ridiculous. Under the 4 team format...they usually let in one or two contestants that get the literal beat down. Notre Dame, some years ago, Cincinnati last year and I'm sure others can name a few. I can stretch the mind to do 8, only because that might get another SEC team, or another that is from a conference that actually matters - and who reasonably can win the dang game (Oklahoma, Michigan/State, USC when there no imploding, Texas or T-A&M down the road etc.). You're fine with 8 when you STOP inviting the likes of Cincinatti, etc., when it's readily apparent to your causal fan - - they have NO BUSINESS being at that level, nor in the game. If you can get rid of the stupid mis-matches...however you do it, then you can have no more than 8 in it. 12? Yeah, you're acquiescing to politics. As a viewer - it's BS. Especially if you will continue to let Seniors opt out - that can change the dynamics in a hurry. So......no.....to 12....its idiocy.
