I'm going to throw out some whys, feel free to pick apart any of my analysis, because I'm certainly not a coach:
Why have we completely abandoned the long ball that worked so well early in the season? Even if we don't connect on them wouldn't that loosen up the D a little? We are suddenly in love with the pass to the flat.
I know we may not be comfortable with our backup QBs, but why doesn't JA (same question with Nico, and with Joe Milton) keep the ball on these zone read plays 4-5;times a game? We're back to a "pretended zone read-every running play is a slow developing dive Butch Jones offensive showcase"
Why do we slow the offense down and huddle up and "be more focused on getting the right play in" to call a run up the middle. I feel like this offense is too simplistic to go slow and the main edge we had with Hooker was the warp speed aspect.
Why do we go long stretches and forget that we can call running plays?
Why can we run for 200 yards and not be comfortable running the ball on 3rd and two when we're on the other side of the 50 yard line. To me, that's 4 down territory, ram the ball down their throats twice and get the first down.
