I just don't understand the rest of the country overlooking Hunter so much. I understand he is coming off a ACL tear but come on, if he is 100% back then I just can't see anyone being able to shut him down completely. Especially a team from the ACC. Amerson may be good but not good enough to shut down a healthy Hunter for 4 quarters, hell he'll be lucky if he can shut him down for a series.
Working in the same role at North Carolina 2007-11, Pittman led his linemen against the Wolfpack each of the five years. The Tar Heels lost all five affairs, posting a rushing average of 44.6 yards per game. They broke the 100-yard mark once and rushed for a combined minus-4 yards in the 2010 and 2011 meetings.
I've been expecting a beat down but I'm a little concerned now after reading this article...
Offensive line coach Sam Pittman looks for atonement against N.C. State » GoVolsXtra
Between struggling to run the ball last year and him averaging 44.6 yards in 5 games against NC State, it's slightly worrisome. Hopefully that will change this year. Did his offenses have more success running the ball against other teams? 44.6 yards... that's bad.
