Somewhere lost in all the celebrating is our CBS curse is now broken. I can't remember the last time we won when they broadcast our game. Verne and Gary both were full Georgia and seemed to get very quiet after we won.

I did not get the idea Verne and Gary were cheering for anyone.

You all carry this "everyone hates us" stuff to the point where it's laughable.

I did notice that during the first half when they would show a highlight while going to commercial that it would only be a highlight of Georgia, not of TN.

I knew we were going to win after Tex beat OU....if one orange team wins on this day, the other usually does too

Maybe I watched a different game but anytime Georgia made a play they both got very excited. Didn't hear the same level of excitement when we made a play. It was as bad as the Alabama Mizzuo SECC game. They always have some sorta bias in the game and it's usually fairly obvious.

99Gator -

I don't know who you are and it used to irk me that you posted on a Vols board, but you do make some very going points and honestly you're a breath of fresh-air as compared to a small minority of VN posters whose middle-school mindset are often tiresome.

Thanks for posting.

I personally believe it's because he knows more about teams who are popular at the time. You know how the whole country knows Bama is good etc. and the media naturally talks more about them? I don't believe it's personal at all.

Gary was the more tolerable of the two yesterday. Actually showed us a bit of love during the second half.

Verne on the other hand is well past the point he should have retired. He does pull favorites during broadcasting to include your beloved Florida each and every chance he gets.

To be fair, it's not exclusive to Tennessee. A segment of every team's fan base thinks this way.

If Corso picks the other team, he hates your team. If Corso picks your team, people get pissed because he just jinxed your team.

Gameday is going to be at this game instead of our game, because they are biased against us.

Etc.

Unless you just can't stand Tennessee, it was hard not to be happy for the Vols yesterday

P.S this thread was about a curse, something doesn't exist and two national sportscasters supposed bias against UT. Everything in this thread should be taken with a large grain of salt.

PP.S 99 is just upset they didn't talk about Tebow more. We all know Verne and Gary carry his jockstrap for him.

Honestly, there are many fans that would rather get ESPN love for playing hard, etc than actually winning the game. It's a generational, social media phenomenon, where getting "likes" and "re-tweets" and approval from others is the pinnacle of existence. Pathetic really.

First of all, no curse and no jinx. Many were waiting for us to choke, blow it, go conservative, play poorly enough to lose, and we did all of the above. The last minutes of the game would have looked different if the drop didn't happen. I will take the win and break the streak, even by poor play by Ga. They would have done the same.
We are coming for you Bama!
Go Vols!

When was Florida last in our situation? The 80s? Let us deal in our own way.

Part of dealing, I would think, is to stop believing in curses, ghosts, zombies, goblins, and the like.

Although, Halloween is coming up.

Easy for you...we don't have to BELIEVE in curses and the like to recognize them.

I think it's obvious Verne and Gary had favorites yesterday- the gators! They talk about them and tebow in every game even when they are not playing! It's so pathetic the man crush they have on that guy.
