CBS Curse

Honestly, there are many fans that would rather get ESPN love for playing hard, etc than actually winning the game. It's a generational, social media phenomenon, where getting "likes" and "re-tweets" and approval from others is the pinnacle of existence. Pathetic really.

This is just false. I don't know anyone who would prefer ESPN love and a loss over a win.

Somewhere lost in all the celebrating is our CBS curse is now broken. I can't remember the last time we won when they broadcast our game. Verne and Gary both were full Georgia and seemed to get very quiet after we won.

Streaks broke versus UGA

6 game CBS streak dating back to 2010 Ole Miss

14 game CBS 3:30 streak dating back to 2007 UGA

16 game CBS game of the week(Gary and Verne announcing) streak dating back to 2006 Bama

When was Florida last in our situation? The 80s? Let us deal in our own way.

They've never really been in our situation. They were irrelevant until Spurrier and the only real downtime they have had since was Zook and Muschump. They really have no tradition earlier than 1990. However, when you believe that FL was always the way it was with Spurrier, you tend to "outkick your coverage".

Kinda like KY going on a 20 year streak and all the sudden they have been relevant forever and have a rich football tradition.

You must have been watching in a parallel universe, because the guys I were listening to were very complimentary of UT.

When the score became 24-3, I could take no more. I immediately muted Verne and Gary and found Mr. Kesling on the Vol network. I will never listen to those old coots again.
There is something soothing about listening to homers broadcast my Vols.
GO VOLS!

I did not get the idea Verne and Gary were cheering for anyone.

You all carry this "everyone hates us" stuff to the point where it's laughable.

I didn't get a vibe of them cheering for either team during that game. But if we play Bama or y'all on CBS..
