Not true. Jones contacted Ingle, that’s documented, that’s confirmed.

What Ingle “backtracked” on was the tone and content of conversation when Jones called him.

Btw, what happened to you? After being a huge Jones critic, you now sound like a member of his inner circle. What changed?

What constitutes an “incident”. Was the original thread blasting Butch CALLING recruits? Or because it was alleged that he was advising them to decommit? It’s ok. You can admit it. :)

Its because he called the kid, told him to look, and said he he will call the kid if he finds a new job. That is what most of us are angry about.

This happened. The kid never changed his story on what happened.

Now the kid did come back and try to pull the , "But he didn't mean it like that" card. But he still doesn't deny Butch calling him and telling him to look around.

That should be easy enough for you to understand.

What changed is there is no need to smear the guy and make stuff like this up. It sounds like CBJ was trying to help the kid and we cast it as CBJ trying to sabotage the program on the way out. Its pointless and stupid.

I never took shots at CBJ for anything other than coaching ability.

Well, if our next coach came from another school and did the same thing to bring us recruits, how fast would you justify it?

This is the nature of the beast. A big chunk of every recruiting class commit to a coach...HC, coordinator, position coach. Others commit because of the school. And many of your better one just want to win, because you only get to do this once in your life.

So don't be shocked if last month you are wearing a bag and holding a fire Butch sign, and now the commits leave with him. Maybe THAT should be easy for YOU to understand, your majesty.

At least they would have a reason. Botch is just salty. He doesn't even have a job where he can offer the kids a spot. He is telling them to decommit because he is salty about being rightfully fired.

I'd suggest giving it up.

Jones is an absolute saint to some on here regardless of what is reported on and there is no changing their minds.

Others appear to be suffering from Stockholm Syndrome now that he is gone.

The 32 players who left the program while he was here and anyone reporting negatively on Jones should all be discounted.

It’s not “smearing” the guy to discuss to discuss his actions. He called the kid, told him to find another school, that’s what the kid initially said, period.

There’s plenty of stories that speak to the guy Jones is, plenty of posts/communications from former players (seen the one from Jennings’ instagram yet?) that suggest that Jones certainly wasn’t universally well thought of by his players.....not to mention all the transfers, Daniel Helm included.

Never said you took shots at Jones personally, just wondering why you’re suddenly leading the charge to support him like you’re leading his crisis intervention team.

This issue is proven false. I just like things to be true if they are going to be spouted.

In any aspect of like, i would except everyone to be happy. No haven't seen Jennings twitter, i dont use twitter.

Im pissed at Tennessee for not offering me a scholarship. I mean, im not good at football but still...

Ill go with the most likely scenrio, that CBJ contacted him to let him know he was likely going to be recruited over. When it was reported, the kid quickly said he was misrepresented.

Did INGLE state all the extra stuff or was that Swain reporting such? There seems to be a need to villainize our former coach and portray him as some war criminal instead of being satisfied that he’s no longer heading the program. And quit it with the faux patronizing. You’ve never exhibited the intelligence level to pull it off. :)
