CBJ contacting recruits proven false.

Confirmation bais. Someone with a predetermined conclusuon will use any excuse to valid that opinion.

You can use it both ways, see how that works.. it was so bad yesterday that the rumors were flying and will continue to fly.. so if it was so bad yesterday that a recruit tweets and says BJ contacted me and said so and so then the fall out was so bad he retracts his story the next day.. kinda suspicious don’t ya think?

It is logically impossible to prove a negative.

You can prove someone DID something. You can never prove that someone DID NOT do something.

So if I get accused of stealing and then video evidence proves that I didn't steal anything, how does not that prove I didn't do it?

In relation to this story, I do not care if he did or didn't contact any recruits. It's up to the next coach to clean up the mess.

So to you, when a RUMOR flys and someone corrects, the RUMOR was true and the person is just in damage control? Interesting take.

What is more damaging are the "fans" calling out this kid on Twitter for committing to the coach instead of the school.

Replying to @TannerIngle
id like to announce i'm unfollowing you... as other vol twitter users should do. good luck.

This is a brand new story and has context to the current conversations. A CBJ press conference does not, in my opinion. Not sure how correcting a story is perpetuating something, please explain?

The poster asked you when will Butch talk -- about all things, including contacting recruit -- and you told them to let it go, and you brought it up again. funny

No i didnt bring up butch press conference or talking. I showed proof of something on this board that has since been proven false. If you think those are the same, i cant help you.

Anyone griping about the allegations of Butch calling recruits that says they want Kiffin as the next HC, should lose all posting privileges. Just saying.

Just like with most other Butch rumors, I'd bet this one is true as well. The kid just didn't make that up on the fly. He probably realized, after the fact, how badly it painted Jones, and went into damage control mode. And Ainge carrying water for Butch is proof of nothing.

Yep. I'm sure people got in his ear, maybe parents, about tweeting it. May have affected other coaches' view of him as they don't want a guy tweeting stuff they talk about. Backtracking on stuff like this isn't uncommon.

Sir, you said: "Noone has cared about anything he has said for a long time. Its over, who cares, let it go."

Obviously, if you can't see that you care enough about what he said (or didn't say) to not let it go, then you ought not be telling others to let it go.

Suspicious as the first story.

I’m sure his contract has language that prevents him from doing that and making disparaging comments about the university. He’s not going to risk his buyout.

I dont care what CBJ has to say and never memtioned anything about him saying anything. I brought up something a recruit said and corrected a wrong.

Its cool man, stick to your narrative.

Yeah, he has backtracked on what was said and the context of the conversation.

Kids was borderline on losing his offer, i guess a recruited over thing, and CBJ was giving him a heads up on it to look at other school.

Ainge also said he confirmed that CBJ did not contact the majority of the current recruits.

Isn't Ainge part of that same media you spent most of the evening yesterday calling "cowards"?

Or is this just an example of confirmation bias considering there isn't anything in that tweet that dispels Jones contacted Ingle?

The context and purpose of the discussion are sure open for debate but the only two people who can really discuss that are Ingle and Jones. Ainge is just adding to the rumor mill unless he was in the room with one of them when they were talking.

What so suspicious the kid said it, now he’s retracting it.. it’s not suspicious if the source is saying it, is it?

Its not suspicious at all. He corrected the context as it was misportrayed. Happens every single day and is normal for those that can view things objectively.

For those with a predetermined narrative, they will view it as you are.

Please show me one post where i called ainge a coward? If ainge was "breaking " all these old stories to smear cbj, i must have missed that.
