CBJ a solid 2nd since November 1st 2014

The data was true. Sure, the data was taken from a convenient time period, but the information wasn't falsified and I'm pretty sure both sides cherry-pick information in efforts to aid their respective arguments. After 2017, I think one of the fan camps will be proven correct.

Careful there. We could have a borderline year where we don't go to Atlanta but only lose to bama and LSU. 10-2 with a Sugar Bowl win. The debate would stay alive.

I hope it's settled by Butch getting it done.

Go Vols!

Nice stats there. Gives some perspective on things.

One thing that I would point out is that the "Dobbs takeover" occurred at the same time as UT's usual "easy 2nd half schedule". Therefore, the stats have the benefit of three 2nd halves of the season and only two 1st halves. That helps matters in the stat department a little.

Jesus H. Christ, do you guys have to find a way to bi*ch about every single stat that appears positive?
My question I always ask is if you hate everything about the program and it's always negative, why are you a "fan"?

We absolutely, positively, without a doubt have the worst fan base on the planet.

Here is a non-cherry picked stat.

So Butch has posted 3 winning seasons in a row and 3 consecutive bowl wins. When was the last time our team had 3 winning seasons and 3 bowl wins in a row?

94-96. 20 years ago. Is it butch's fault it took 2 decades to get 3 bowl wins in a row?

Some people just get tired of the conatant spin attempts to make us think we are better than what we are.

Yay, 3 bowls in a row Championship!

We are 14-18 under Butch in SEC games. When Butch can get that in the 65% area then I think we can be happy about it.

Nobody said it was a championship but if I recall it's not like we were winning a bunch of anything before butch got here either.

Let's face it, our "hay day" was 1998. That's really it. The others were before a lot of us were born. Yet some of the fans on this site keep preaching, we need to get back to winning championships
Hell the last time we even played in the SECCG was 07 (that's a decade ago). Last win was 98.
Yet y'all keep talking like butch is the worst thing ever. He's gotten us something that I haven't seen since I was a kid.

And that is where most of us disagree. Noone is talking about winning champi9nships all the time like you guys keep saying. Most are saying losing to Vandy every other year is not cool, regardless of the amount of threads that are made saying how good it is.

I think this is the issue.

Tennessee is a historic program that has a ton of built in advantages that most programs can only dream about, but sadly we're willing to settle just because we went though a rough patch.

That's not a knock on Butch, but his ceiling isn't what Tennessee should accept or has accepted in the past.

I've never uttered the idea that losing to vandy is ok nor will it ever be. Just like losing to Florida isn't ok with me or bama. It happens though

Vandy has gotten considerably better over the last 8-10 years. It used the be a school that couldn't get players to compete. That has changed. Similar to Stanford but a few years behind them.

If you're only going to include the games since Dobbs took over, how do the numbers suggest that "things are only going to get better" now that Dobbs is gone?

Can't argue with that, more of a statement on Dobbs.

I prefer to take status of wins since 12/30/16. We are 1st.

GBO.

Vandy was 5-7 when they smacked us around the field and one month later got smacked around by a mid tier ACC team. So lets keep it real.

And Tennessee was a josh dobbs fumble and Hail Mary away from being 6-6. See app state and Georgia games to confirm.

Yeah, so why are you complaining about those of us that try to bring some reality to all these absurd threads telling us we are much better than what we are?
