This dates back to when Dobbs officially took over as QB for Tennessee. Interesting that Tenn, Fla, & UGA are 2/3/4 respectively.

Things are only going to get better.

Its also interesting that since that specific date in time, every opponent in the SEC east has had a coaching change except for Kentucky and Vandy (14' was Mason's first year at Vandy).

3 of the 5 changes were replaced by 1st year head coaches during that time frame.

No it wasn't. The East over the past 3 or 4 seasons is easily the worst that either division has ever been.

Since 2008 (the last time the east won the conference UF) the SEC east has lost the following coaches,
Urban Meyer - UF
Phil Fulmer - UT
Steve Spurrier - USC
Mark Richt - UGA
Gary Pinkle - Mizzou
Rich Brooks - KY
James Franklin - Vandy

Here is a list of the replacements.
Muchamp
McElwain
Kiffin
Dooley
Jones
Muschamp
Smart
Odom
Phillips
Stoops (Mark)
Mason

"Since I promoted Jim to head of sales, our numbers have drastically improved. Now that Jim has left the company, my projections show that sales will skyrocket."

Since I promoted Jim to head of sales, our numbers, morale, experience and prospects have drastically improved. Now that Jim is gone I think he left us in good enough shape to keep building sales right thru the roof.
Just depends on if your a glass half empty or glass half full person.

Most of you act like it's 2011 all over again. We've came along way, and still have a ways to go. Please try to find some type of enjoyment from the team. Yes, we had some bumps in the road, and lost some we should have won. Everyone knows this, but there is no way you guys are actually like this everyday in life. Every positive point that is made, is then pissed on by those who have an agenda with Butch. This hurts the team, university, and makes the overall fan base look like a bunch of toothless back hollow hicks. Not to mention the parents of recruits and other coaches who use YOUR rants against us to paint a picture of instability here (When there's not). But hey, it's a free country right? Free speech, and all that jazz. Tell me what it is that you think that you're entitled too. Wins? Better coaching? Better players? We have a lot more of all those things than we did just a few years ago. There wasn't this much complaining when Dooley was here.

Success has generated the displeasure with the program we keep reading about on here. CBJ has brought the program back to relevance, stumbled this year somewhat, and now it's not what he has done for us but what he hasn't done for us. Patience wore out quickly evidently and now some are ready to start all over. GBO

8.7 wpy career average....Emphasis on AVERAGE.

It's who he is, and what we've got....which is good enough for some, not for others.

Somebody, anybody, start another thread so one side or the other can burn it down.

UT was on a five game losing streak to FBS teams. What was "picking up" before Dobbs stepped in?

I understand that what you were actually doing was trying to lump as many wins on the front end without adding more losses, and mentioning Dobbs was simply a convenient way of not having to say so. But if you are going to make Dobbs the lone variable in your date selection, you can't then argue that things will inevitably get better without him.

I should have left the Dobbs comment out. lol

Basically, JD's abilities made up for the lack of o-line play. That situation was 31 games ago and, three recruiting classes later, should be offset by a much more experienced and talented front in '17.

If you're only going to include the games since Dobbs took over, how do the numbers suggest that "things are only going to get better" now that Dobbs is gone?

I maybe wrong but I think he's using since dobbs took over since Dobbs was the first QB that Butch brought in. JG looks very promising as well.

I would be all for going and hiring an elite coach but let's be realistic that is going to happen. Butch is one of the better bargain bin coaches that we could've stumbled into. I just would be content with him if we're not going to actually get serious about football and open the purse strings.

But you cant turn on lamp and call it sunshine. If we are going to pump sunshine it needs to be true.

The data was true. Sure, the data was taken from a convenient time period, but the information wasn't falsified and I'm pretty sure both sides cherry-pick information in efforts to aid their respective arguments. After 2017, I think one of the fan camps will be proven correct.

Well...ok then.

Okay, what does it prove?
