Lofton traditionally plays very well in Rupp. Six of those came on three pointers when the game was pretty much decided.
I agree we can't just roll into Rupp like we own the place and everything Forde said is somewhat true. I mean we have never accomplished much, dont get me wrong im excited about this season, but we have to give Kentucky's program the respect the deserve. With this being said is it really a slap in the face to wear earrings during warmups. I really dont get how that is disrespectful. Also did anyone at the game notice KY did not stay on the court for the national anthem? I find that somewhat disrespectful
no we don't. I would fully expect our players to absolutely ignore KY's basketball history. That's the only way to make it immaterial. I'm sure they want us to ooh and aah, but I want us to not give a rat's arse. Respecting the game and the opponent's court / crowd, that's a different matter.I agree we can't just roll into Rupp like we own the place and everything Forde said is somewhat true. Exactly, we didn't hear a lot about the herd of punks that were the early 90s UNLV squad because they demolished everyone (except Duke in that pesky little final 4 tilt). You are still missing the point. It is ok to roll into Rupp like you own the Cats if you are ready to kick their ass. UT wins and the earrings are never even mentioned.
I am probably the biggest athlete apologist on this board. However, even I have to say that Moses Scurry, Anderson Hunt, and David Butler weren't exactly good citizens.Exactly, we didn't hear a lot about the herd of punks that were the early 90s UNLV squad because they demolished everyone (except Duke in that pesky little final 4 tilt).
even their good citizens were iffy. LJ wasn't Mr. Rogers. Didn't know much about Basnight, but presume him guilty by association.I am probably the biggest athlete apologist on this board. However, even I have to say that Moses Scurry, Anderson Hunt, and David Butler weren't exactly good citizens.
Well its killin me.....Did your friend have any butter?even their good citizens were iffy. LJ wasn't Mr. Rogers. Didn't know much about Basnight, but presume him guilty by association.
Can't remember the name of the big center from UGA that transferred out there after being booted from the Dawgs' squad, but he frickin pulled a butter knife on a friend of mine outside a C store to steal his milk. UNLV gladly welcomed him.

I love it. Everyone around here was kissing Pat's a$$ for including Pearl in his "Bucket List" column the other day, now he's anti-UT. What a joke. There's not a more objective guy in the media than Forde. We rolled into Rupp Arena acting like we were the second coming of Vegas '90 and got the taste slapped out of our mouth for it. Those are the facts. If you're going to bring bravado to the gym, you better back it up with action. We failed miserably at that last night.
LJ was an OK guy. Greg Antony and Stacey Augmon were both sound citizens.even their good citizens were iffy. LJ wasn't Mr. Rogers. Didn't know much about Basnight, but presume him guilty by association.
