Carson Beck in portal?

Haha. I think his girlfriend might suggest something other than the Birdcage.
Probably so but call me cynical. I have doubts about them just like with Livvy Dunne and Paul Skenes. Both couples ready made for social media clicks. They all know how to stay in front of Instagram and Twitter.

Like the song from The Fabulous Thunderbirds: “How Do You Spell Love?-MONEY”!

Stockton or Ryan Puglisi. Puglisi has the better throwing mechanics but Stockton has running and some more experience. Puglisi was hurt earlier in the summer/fall, but the thought is that Rashada left because he was probably going to be QB3 behind Puglisi next year. Stockton has the edge but there will be a competition.

The top-end QB play will step back from Beck’s highs, but there were some lows mixed in there (in case you hadn’t noticed). I think the WR room has been upgraded in the portal and with some freshmen. I bet it’s a near wash in total offense terms, though I think Beck was sneaky good at calling protections and getting out of bad plays. Stockton got fooled in the ND game a couple times by simulated pressure.

My bigger question marks are on the OL and DL, where UGA is losing a ton of guys.
It seems you guys have not had your usual dominant RBs lately. Change in strategy, injuries, something else?

Not a recruiting priority under Kirby. He wants a committee approach. That said, OL is what makes the difference. This year’s OL was inconsistent and next year’s is more worrisome. Etienne and Frazier are both solid backs from a talent perspective and cash jones gets it done on third down.

Beck is chasing donk. His chica is one of the twins that play basketball for Miami that model on the side. He's getting NIL from Miami as well so it's not like he's getting nothing out of it. Then word is he didn't like his draft grade as well. Looking back at UGA's past and seeing how well they develop NFL starting QBs he decided to go elsewhere, he couldn't hurt.

UGA paid him $3 million to come back this year. Rumors are that he’s getting $5-$6 million from the U. That’s way more than he would get as a 3rd rounder, and he gets the chance to improve draft stock after rehab.
It would seem that college athletics is making mercernaries of college athletes. Go to war with whoever pays the most.

I’m not here to defend Beck—he’s leaving my team after all—but the lambo thing seems to be NIL related. It’s likely a leased vehicle that he is obligated to use at certain times under the terms of his arrangement with the dealer. He might have to show up to games in it, for example. NIL is fundamentally sponsorship, and sponsors want their product front and center.

Is that a dumb thing to agree to? Yes. But it would make a lot of sense for a dealer to include that kind of requirement (even if it has backfired horribly in this instance).

Again, not defending the guy.
I just think the whole Beck persona is off putting to the average fan. Hell I think it’s off putting to some Georgia players. Drives Lambo, dates model, on the sidelines laughing and cutting up when his team is losing. Dude might be the coolest guy on the planet but he seems like a douche.
