Carolina Panthers

What an awful game. Refs did not make it easy and were piss poor, but twice at the 1 and we can't get a touchdown doesn't cut it in the playoffs. The td by sf before the half seemed to deflate the team, saw no energy in the second half. I was really hoping to return from the half with a score, instead a 3 and out was what we got.

You all had a good season you all need to pick a receiver in first round. There was no way you all could have won today, refs simply we're not going to allow it

Great season! I still don't like Mike Shula's play calling, but the future does look bright for this franchise. I read this morning that when Godfrey gets cut in June, that should free up enough to keep Mitchell and Ginn.
Now go get a WR in free agency and draft another early. If an elite guy isn't there at pick 28, you take an offensive lineman.

Apparently the Giants are letting Hakeem Nicks walk.
I say we sign him for cheap, and draft OT in the first round. Still draft a WR like Coleman from Rutgers in the third, but I'd like to go OT and then CB if we can sign Nicks and resign Mikell and Mitchell.

The question is, will Nicks be a cheap signing? I understand his attitude issues downgraded his stock a bit, but the guy has elite WR potential, and I'm not so sure someone won't offer him a big contract.

Gross is retiring.
Uh oh!

Jordan Gross to announcement retirement tomorrow. I guess we know which direction Carolina will go with their first round pick.

Fantastic player and a class act. Good luck to him in his future endeavors. That being said, for the love of God, please sign a free agent OT, as well as draft one. Cam will get massacred if this isn't addressed soon.

Gano signed for 4 years.

I thinks it's funny kickers succeed once they leave Washington recently. (Gano, Suisham)

In general, I actually like what Gettleman is doing. Guys like Cason have the potential to be really good budget signings.

And as bad as people are trashing Gettleman, it's actually on Hurney. The ridiculous contracts he handed out are continuing to bite the Panthers in the ***.

The only two moves that I semi-question is the Joe Webb signing and the release of Steve Smith. They'd already resigned Derek Anderson, so signing another 3rd string QB (already another 3rd stringer on the roster) seems a bit useless to me, given the other needs throughout the roster. Unless they were convinced that Smith needed to go for whatever reason (attitude, wanting Newton to be the Alpha male on offense, etc.) it doesn't make much sense to pay him $5+ mil to play in Baltimore. There was very little money saved by cutting him loose.
