Carolina Panthers

i think the worst thing that could have happened to the panthers happened. it's one thing to have to rely on Carr for a game or two. it's another to lose your starter for the whole year. then the back up gets hurt.

the vinny thing is fine and it obviously worked out.

but this is scrambling by the front office like you'll never see. you simply can't plan on losing 2 qb's in back to back weeks. you can't plan on having a 43 year old calling plays for 10 more games, and supposedly in the post season.

my pessimism is based on what i've seen so far and looking ahead with the current qb situation.

i like what we've seen from the defense the past two games. problem is it hasn't been there all season, and you're left wondering will it show up this week or not? offensively, and this isn't a slam on VT, i just can't see a 43 year old lasting for hte remaining 10 games, and being the "savior" for this team. sure he could play, but win the division? get in the playoffs? just not there yet.

i see an 8-8 type year on our hands, and in the NFC, that still might be enough for a WC spot....

Yet we are still 4-2. Yes I know some rough wins, but come on give us some positive props. At least the other guys can in between their pessimism. I'm going to have to come beat you down and steal those colt tickets if you can't even look forward to cheering on your own team! For some reason I have a feeling you will be wearing a TN orange manning Jersey. :no:

Wins:
Rams (0-6)
Atlanta (1-5)
Saints (1-4)
Cardinals (With their 3rd stringer who had been signed for 4 days)

Losses:
Houston (With Andre Johnson not a bad one.)
TB (Carr's first start)

We beat the teams that we should be ashamed of losing to, and we lost to the only two decent teams we've played. It's hardly something to cling to for optimism.

Man, I was going to say something about this as a panther fan, but you sound like a VOL fan here! :eek:lol:

yeah, yeah, yeah.....i think it's great that we're 4-2. we aren't out of it. all agree on.

i just haven't seen anything yet for me to sit up and say, yes, we're a play off team right now. of course we would be if the season was already over, but unfortunately, that ain't the case.....

here's the rest of the schedule:
Indy--
@TN--
ATL--
@GB
NO-
SF--
@Jax
SEA
DAL
@TB

honestly, how many of those games do you look at and honestly say, "yep, that's a definite W". 2 maybe 3, 4?

2 maybe 3, thats pretty good considering its the NFL, you never know who will win what games these days. I don't think GB came into the season saying yep, we are definately going to win 5 at the start. Heck for even any sport and league you can't say definates alot of the time.

I'm not saying we are going to be the NFL champs this year or even make it close to even getting to that game, but you have to go with what you have. I know us panther fans are wanting something big, but unforunately it won't be this year. I still like to be positive and go into games feeling we still have a chance to win even against INDY even if it is a .000000000009% of a chance to win, I will still go with that small positive feeling! :thumbsup: Unlike you Negapanthers. :no:

If Delhomme were healthy, my feeling would be a lot different. But, when you lack a decent QB, it's just plain hard to win in the NFL.

I will not get started again on the decency of Delhomme. But yes it would be nice to have just an ok qb in there instead of grandpa. :)

It is Panthers vs. Colts week!!!! Who is playing qb this week? What are your predictions for the scores?

GO CAROLINA PANTHERS!!!! :dance2:

colts 31
Panthers 13

i think we'll see Vinnie and David play this week for some reason. one of them will start, struggle, and the other will get in.

Colts only have a TD spread over us. Kind of surprised, Not sure what they are seeing, but I'll take it!

How did the Panthers wind up having to play the entire AFC South (the best division in the NFL)??? That's rough.

Every year an NFC division plays another AFC division.

This year the NFC and AFC South play each other.

I didn't realize that's how they scheduled non conference opponents. :good!:

Tough for the NFC South.

well it's now confirmed......50 yard line for the colts/cats.

see you Sunday Peyton.:)
