In his prime, yes, last year, no.
Patrick Willis is a beast, but I will give Ray Lewis credit though...He has killed a man, Willis can't say that...
I have actually considered going to that game. Consider that an easy "W" for the Panthers.
As for Matt Moore, yes, he is the starter and will be the man. He's got an outstanding offensive line, backfield, and at least one receiver. He doesn't turn the ball over and he makes good decisions. I don't think the Panthers will win more than nine games this year, but it won't because of Moore. I'm looking forward to seeing what he can do wth a full season.
Clausen better get comfortable.
Wow, that's not a homer comment. This is not the same 49ers team that played you all in 2007....Mike Nolan is no longer our coach, you know that right?
Offense-I'll say an edge for you with Smitty, Stewart and Williams, but Crabtree is gonna be beast for us as well and Frank Gore and Vernon Davis. Both QBs are meh. Smith can't handle pressure well, and your boy Moore has thrown over 200 yds only twice in his life. He did good at the end of the year last year, but there really wasn't much pressure on him to win and get to the playoffs. Our line is young with the two 1st round picks this year, so I'll give you the line, cause I know your line is good.
Defense-Sorry, we are better. Our CBs are a little suspect, but our LBs are the best in the NFL. You have Jon Beason, who is a beast, but y'all lost Peppers. While yet he is a tool for what he did to you, he is great, and can't be replaced. Gamble is also good for y'all from what I remember. D-lines are about even.
Special Teams - Us. Neither of our teams scored a TD off returns, but Kicking and Punting we have the edge. Also, with the addition of Ginn Jr. will give us a boost with our return game.
I say it'll be a close game, but 9ers win a close low-scoring game. I will give Panthers credit and I know that they can just as easily win and I respect them.
