Fils-aime Expected to Return
The Vols could get a boost on the ground with the expected return of senior running back Carlin Fils-aime, who's been getting reps over the past few weeks.

"He started practicing kind of full-go a couple of weeks ago," Pruitt said. "As a running back, you want a guy to take some licks. You don't want a guy out there that hasn't had any contact with the football in his hands.

"Last year, he was a pretty good special teams' player for us. We moved him back to offense towards the end of the year. He is a guy that has some really good one-step quickness. He can get vertical and hit seams. He is back out there and he should be able to play this week."

In 2018, Fils-aime switched from corner to the running back group full time prior to the South Carolina game. The Naples, Florida native has amassed 309 rushing yards, five touchdowns and 5.9 yards-per-carry so far in his career.

I think it helps us more running the football. Welcome back!!

The coaching staff and more sobthe previous one should be ashamed that they haven't played him. He had tons of promise at tailback and had really nice runs the few he was given a few years ago.

Completely wasted talent by the staff(s)

I'm not so sure if it's "wasted talent" so much as it's been that he's been unable to crack the 2-deep at any position. We've always had at least 2-3 RBs that were better than him on the roster (Chandler, Gray, Kelly, Jordan, Kamara, etc). Pruitt tried him at DB and he never really stuck there either. Pruitt is the coach that's gotten the most out of CFA's talent and it's mostly been as a special situation RB who might get 1-2 carries per game.

Would love to see him have a big break-thru season, but it's tricky because he's probably not passing Chandler or Gray on the depth chart. He'd make a good RB1 at a lot of G5 schools, but in the SEC, he's probably a 3rd or 4th option on most teams.

Let's see... Work real hard to come back from injury... your reward is you get to run into Florida's defensive line.... Don't worry, our OL will open a hole for you. Congrats CFA lol

Seriously though, bodies and fresh legs will always help this week.

Not gonna lie, never understood why he doesn’t play more.

He runs well and gets good yardage every time he touches the ball
If he blocked better on passing plays he'd probably get the ball more on running downs. Have to keep the opposing defense guessing.
