Yeah but a few posts earlier they were arguing that it was virtually impossible for big studio movies to lose money; so I have no idea what they are trying to argue now.

That's an interesting economic shell game they're playing. Of course, if it were actually true in the literal sense none of these movies would ever get made and everybody would be out of business.

Gotta hand it to the social marketing folks at Marvel/Disney. The Instagram posts that look like she is breaking out of the post are definitely eye catching.

Expected to make 350 mil world wide over the weekend. Fandango reporting has the most presales since Infinity War.

Box Office Bomb for sure.

Know a lot of my Marvel nerd friends saw this early and they said it is "meh" "not a top 10 MCU movie"

The reason why it's that low is because a bunch of insecure guys went on there and gave it a bunch of bad reviews without seeing the movie first.

I’m talking my nerdy comic friends who go to every marvel movie ahead of time. Comicon every year type. They know their marvel ****.

I doesn’t have to be the best Marvel movie to be a success. It can be the 10th best mMarvel movie and still be a success.

When it comes to comic book movies, they know their stuff. If it wasn't for the nerds thru out the decades, there would be no Marvel cinematic universe! So please quit looking down on people.

Captain Marvel is going to be awesome and will make a ton of money. There's going to be more superhero movies and more female lead superhero movies so you better get used to it.

Hopefully the other flicks will have better word of mouth than Captain Marveless. Oh wait Wonder Woman came two years earlier and was actually an okay movie with a stronger and more attractive female lead. Really looks like the critics are not too high on this one. After the artificial hype dies down, wonder what the second week is going to look like?

If this movie does not measure up to your standards, I hope all of you are man / woman enough to come back on here and eat crow.
