Candace Parker is leaving LA

She seemed frustrated last season. Outside of Nneke, not a lot of effort and/or consistency from her teammates.

LA was a bad fit because Nneke and Candace both played their best at the PF spot and neither was a true C. Two great players that weren't best utilized playing at the same time.

I think Candace will be happy playing with Courtney.

Was all about getting back to where she calls home. This will be her last stop and expect Illinois will be her home for the rest of her life. This is where she started and this is her final stop.

This is a real plus for LA. Candice is an amazing player when she gives the effort, but excluding the last season when she had her daughter in camp she seldom gave effort. In Chicago because it is a new team, she will try to prove herself. In LA she would have resorted back to her previous pattern. It was not just her lack of effort on most days, but the effect it had on the rest of the team. Candice Parker as a player is like a box of chocolates. You never know what your are going to get.

This is simply completely untrue. I don’t see how anyone who knows anything can think Candace Parker leaving is “a real plus for LA.”

That would be someone who has followed and seen most of the Sparks game for years. LA is now in rebuilding mode. They lost two of their BIG THREE. They would have traded Parker sooner but the GM was told she was not allowed to trade her. The problem was that she had entirely too much pull on the team and could decide when to give an effort and when not. Watching the games it was obvious between the games she decided to play and which ones she just went through the motions.--- mostly on defense. Many relatively savey basketball people watching the Sparks were not even aware that he defensive capabilities. She also had developed a reputation of never having good back to back second game.

If you study her history, it becomes evident that she is a player who always needs someone to push her or she sluffs off. Growing up it was her father who would make her walk home from practice if she didn't give her best effort and in college it was obviously Pat. With the Sparks she had so much pull no one could motivate her if she didn't want them too.

Talent or not, in order for a team to move forward it is better that they know what they will have every night. Fisher sat her down in some games to make a point about her effort. She is better off in Chicago and the Sparks are better off not now , but long term.

WTF are you smoking? Yes losing a two-time MVP is a real plus for LA. I don't even entirely disagree with your point about effort but your overall point of this post is way off base. Also, Fisher is a horrible coach. If LA wants to move on they should probably start by moving on from him.

What kind of question will she be happy playing with Diamond...Will Diamond be happy playing with her? How about that. Was Diamond the reason she got divorced or traded lol.. They're vols and they lov each other

You're such a weirdo. Candace didn't get traded and WTF does her divorce have to do with anything?

I'm not sure why you're attempting to equate them. Candace has two NCs, multiple NPOY awards from both HS and college, two Olympic gold medals (should be three but ... Geno), a WNBA championship where she was finals MVP, and two WNBA MVP awards.

Diamond never even won a conference championship in college on a team she actually played on, let alone accomplished anything else on that list. She's a talented player but stop acting like she's even in the same zip code as Candace. She's not, neither in talent nor in accomplishments. And she left UT right after assuring us she would be staying, because her BFF acted like a psychopath and got kicked off the team.

Well, let's not forget how it was a real plus for the Patriots when Brady left for Tampa; and a real plus for the Bulls when Jordan retired after #3; and a real plus for Cleveland when LeBron left for Miami.
