Assuming Florida beats UK, Alabama beats Vandy, and UGA beats Miss State. What are everyone's thoughts on our road to the SEC East?
Can we win with a 5-3 record? Last year a 5-3 record would have nearly won the East and led us to a Sugar Bowl appearance.
Thoughts....?
I'm counting on 4 sec losses so no. Hope I'm wrong, just going on what I've seen so far

We lost to Florida in 2007 and still backed in to the SECCG. So, it can be done.
We lost to Florida and will likely lose to Bama & LSU but we will beat UGA. This gives us three SEC loses.
Since we lost to Florida, they will need to lose 4 SEC games. They could lose to A & M, UGA, Vandy, Ky. Missouri, USC or LSU........
Can you list 4 of those SEC games that Florida would/could lose????
I can't............
Need to beat UGA, and need Florida to lose 3.
Florida losing 3 is going to be tough to come by.
This is what I am da** sick of, having to worry about other teams rather than we go out and do what's necessary to take the East by the throat....
Absolutely ridiculous that we have to play these "what-if" scenarios every year, just win and it takes care of itself

If you can't play in the championship game then what is the point? No chance of conference championships if you can't win your own division. Even if that chance against Bama is small right now for anyone in the East.
Does it really matter?
Honestly? Why does it matter?
What would it truly mean?
Assuming a loss...
A division title shows REAL program progress. That demonstration of progress is good for recruiting and builds confidence within the program.
Get there and win or make a reasonably good showing... and you establish a new and higher platform to build on.
