CAN TENNESSEE BE FIXED?

Who is that coach willing to come here?
Plenty of capable ones for the right price. But I'm not getting in to all of that. You asked a question. I answered it. I firmly believe it will never happen because we always shop at Dollar General for our coaches.

I agree it won't happen. The issue is two fold, we won't pay and those we want don't want to come here.

TN can be fixed... we just have to WANT to hire a proven coach and pay them for their experience and proven record rather than taking a chance on someone you have to google

that has been our problem...except for Kiffin (most knew of him and his dad at the time at least)

I think Freeze would come here but our administration is likely too stupid to hire him.
He's a pipe dream, there are better jobs that will be open and available to him. But I agree, I don't think we try either.

UT can absolutely be fixed. However, the things needed to fix it won’t happen anytime soon.

My wife (VFL) and I are senior citizens who still care about UT Sports. We are convinced that Vols football will never be a relevant SEC program in our lifetime. Doesn't seem like the right people at UT care enough about having a football team that competes for SEC Championships.

Disagree with your second point. Our biggest problem is not money (we have it, covid may be exception this year, but we have money, we just don't want to spend it) its not facilities, its not tradition, its not having an inability to recruit to our school...it's always been and will always be about out Admin and the people that make the decisions up top. Whenever that gets fixed...if it ever gets fixed, so will football. The problem is we have a lot of people that have a lot of money that can't all get on the same page. If they'd set their ego aside, we could be great again. But it ain't happening.

That kind of leaves my point though. They don't want to be here for those reasons. None of that is going to change in the next few years, likely but even this decade.

But you prove my point. If it were different at the top, resulting in a smoother Admin, all money people on same page, offering really good money to good goaches, good coaches would want to be here. So yes, TN football can be fixed indeed. But go back to my original statement...it can be fixed, but will it? My answer is it can, but it won't.
