Can someone post an Alabama meltdown thread?

Pruitt has a 6-year show cause that began in 2023. He also has to be suspended for the entire first year of his return to an NCAA school because he didn't cooperate with the investigation. No college is going to hire him.

If Bama REALLY wanted him, I would expect an appeal, an NCAA "re-consideration", then a modification of his show-cause that would allow Bama to hire him with a token financial fine.

It's just the way it works for Bama.

That said, Bama in no way wants him.

I can see this downward spiral inevitable for many programs. NIL set off an arms race and only the loss of competition or government intervention can save athletics programs from themselves.

A good reason to be skeptical of the Neyland Entertainment project around the stadium is also this downward spiral you mentioned.

Additional revenue sounds good except the success of it is completely reliant on the success of the football team. If the football program struggles, we’re looking at another bunch of wig stores along the river.

I saw an Alabama fan mention this today. They have spent so much money adding premium seating and experiences for fans, but what is going to happen now that the program seems unable to sustain its former success? Going to be awful hard to talk fans into paying premium prices for a losing product.
