To them, I say much as I said to a desperate king, long ago, that in two ways may a man come with evil tidings. He may be a troll or negavol; or he may be such as leaves well alone, and comes only to bring aid in time of need. It is the latter, that I ever endeavor to provide.
Now I will ride off before @Catbone or @BeardedVol with their wormtongues comes to this thread to whisper their evil poison from the Dark Lord Saban on how the lack of 100k in the stands demonstrates the fans have no faith in Pruitt and we should abandon the season forthwith. LOL
They killed boomsday? I blame Madeline Rogero.
They've lost a lot of fans like me that used to attend every game and slowly lost interest when they hired idiots like Kiffin, Dooley, Jones and finally a guy that sounds like he couldn't run a high school team much less a $100 million dollar brand like Tennessee. Sorry but I'm just too apathetic anymore and while I'll always support them, the only money they get from me is whatever my views from TV generate which I'm sure isn't much.

Same here. Been a fan for over 50 years and it just doesn't even hurt as much anymore. So much wasted money with nothing to show for it but a bunch of sorry azz coaches becoming millionaires s off of their buyoutsIt's apathy. Somebody on here talked about this a while back. Continual disappointment and zero signs of improvement eventually lead even the strongest fanbases to run out of energy. At some point, the program has to give the fans something to get excited about in order to sustain the enthusiasm. There hasn't been anything to really get fired up about since Phillip Fulmer left the sidelines . . . and his last couple of seasons were mostly mediocre by the standards that he had established himself earlier in his career. Derek Dooley. Butch Jones. MIke Hamilton. John Currie. The list of those who took an active part in bringing us here is long.
I've started to fall victim to it. I've grown numb. I don't even get that bent out of shape any more when we lose. That empty Neyland Stadium is going to be painful to see the rest of the way. I'm driving down from DC for the UAB game (although after today, I'm not sure why other than going through the motions).
