Sure, a school system that is grossly mismanaged, that has a super intendent that makes $250,000 a year, that has numerous thefts of school property by students and admins, and has a budget bigger than the whole city of Memphis yet still can't provide an actual audit of their finances? Let's give them an even bigger system to run, great idea
I live in midtown. Here and East Memphis have good schools. But the schools will run by the county not the city fortunately.
