It's unknown when the incident occurred I have been told that it was from over the weekend, but I was also told that Clear was in Memphis till sometime Sunday evening.

I'm trying to get details of the incident report, but it does appear that this is a different incident from the one that was discussed several weeks back.


As of right now, he has not posted the $2,500.00 bond and remains in the Knox County Detention Facility.

Cam Clear deserves another chance, though it may not be here. cam Newton got his chance, but it wasn't at FL.

If true, and Cam Clear stole from his team mates like was posted in the other thread. hard to overlook that.

So not surprising to me. We could have the whole team fail every class and I wouldn't be surprised. That is what these past 5 years has done to me

Because you can be the one to give a kid a second chance in a new setting, but not a second chance in the same enviornment like this. You lose the respect of the team if you give him a clean slate and keep him on the team.

KNOXVILLE — A University of Tennessee football player was arrested today on a felony theft charge.

Sophomore tight end Cameron Clear, 19, of Memphis, was booked into the Knox County Detention Facility this evening on a charge of theft more than $1,000, according to jail logs.

He is being held in lieu of $2,500 bond.

"We are aware of an incident involving Cameron and are in the process of gathering the facts," said Jimmy Stanton, UT's associate athletic director for Communications.

Specifics about his arrest were not immediately available.

More details as they develop online and in Wednesday's News Sentinel.
