Blount got suspended when he sucker punched a helmetless player and knocked him out after the game was over. The two teams were on the field AFTER the game was over. I repeat AFTER THE GAME WAS OVER. Blount hunted this guy down. Geeeze, some of the crap that gets posted is embarrassing.

Some of you are so soft. I don’t care if it was 1 punch or 10. If I get to the point of punching someone, you can bet I’m not doing it 1 time, I’m punching enough that I don’t have to worry about his counterpunch. I don’t understand the holier than those crowd. Let her m sit a half and then be done with it.

Agree 100 times over. I have or had a high tolerance for maintaining discipline, but once it broke someone was going down.

Calloway was clearly in the wrong no matter what was done or said. You don't throw a punch in college football, and that's without even mentioning how dumb it it is to try and punch a guy with a helmet and face mask on. If you're that emotionally fragile that a player attempting to goad you into throwing blows can set you off like that, football probably isn't the game for you. Shove him back for the face mask grab, and you probably don't even see a flag. Throw 5 punches, and well, you get what you got coming.

I like you Chris but I disrespectfully disagree and continue to stand with my opinion.

Akron players were taking cheap shots at our players with no consequences. Hooker could have been severely hurt after taking multiple shots to the knees.

Also, you don’t know what was said to Calloway after the Akon player already slapped his face mask beforehand. Whatever it was, it was enough to piss him off.

Heupel was clearly frustrated after the game whenever he shook the opposing coaches hand.

They played like punks the whole game and we’re expected to stand there and take it? No way.

When you're paying for an easy win and you have a game next week that is infinitely more important, you don't let yourself be in a position to hurt the team for the more important game. That includes retaliating, especially when up 45 points. If you're that weak-willed that you can't walk with the scoreboard what it is, that's a problem.

Actually that guy hunted Blount down and took a straight arm to the chin. I don't care if it was after the game or during. He threw 5 f***ing punches he needs benched for a game or 2 for acting like a child that can't control their emotions over something trivial. Sorry if that shoe fits you too.

Again, what does the punch count matter? 1 punch or 100, if you feel he should be removed for throwing 5, you should feel the same if someone throws 1. Someone that throws a singular punch, lost their cool and are not controlling their emotions. Rosters would be pretty thin in that case.

Punches shouldn't be thrown on a football field at all. If it was a Bama player, y'all would cry about it for 2 months. The severity of punishment is relative to the severity of the action. 1 punch and then stopping is bad. Repeatedly punching someone in a football game over basically nothing is extremely dumb and selfish.

i agree punches Shouldn’t be thrown in a football game. I don’t think, it is that mountain you guys are making out of a molehill. The competiveness, testosterone and youth that is built into competitive sports dictates that it will happen. I swear some of you need to dust your vaginas and chill

I don't disagree that they played like punks, too cheap shots, and were clearly trying to goad us into fights. That isn't any reason to take the bait. I don't care what the DB said to him. It's stupid to react like he did. It's archaic and damaging to his team to react like he did. You have to be more disciplined than that. Like I said, give him a good shove to let him know you don't appreciate it...whatever it was...and nothing happens, most likely. Throw a punch at a players helmet, let alone five punches, and now you've hurt your team, potentially yourself, and likely facing discipline. You give that player exactly what he wanted and you look like that fool as he's laughing it up watching you get escorted off the field.

There is zero defense of Calloway's reaction. Of course, we can agree to disagree, but it just feels like a case of you looking at it through orange-colored glasses. If that had been a Bama player doing it to a Tennessee player, you (and many others) would have called for assault charges and a season-long suspension.

He was pushed off to the sidelines by his teammates and a ref, and then he came back for more and threw another couple punches.

There has to be more to that incident than we know. Maybe verbal. Still stupid. I saw where he apologized to the team after the game.
