The overreactions to this are mind boggling to me.
And Calloway's overreaction is mind boggling to ME
He should've (as another poster so succinctly put it) just pointed to the 'tron and walked away laughing
EVERY D he faces from now on knows you can get under his skin, sucker him into taking a swing at you, and get your free 15 (and him off the field)
I swear, you'll blindly defend anything that paints Tennessee in a bad light.Swiped him and clearly said something bad to make Calloway go off.
Dude was clearly asking for it.

What, did the girl Savion Herring beat around have it coming, too?
Calloway was clearly in the wrong no matter what was done or said. You don't throw a punch in college football, and that's without even mentioning how dumb it it is to try and punch a guy with a helmet and face mask on. If you're that emotionally fragile that a player attempting to goad you into throwing blows can set you off like that, football probably isn't the game for you. Shove him back for the face mask grab, and you probably don't even see a flag. Throw 5 punches, and well, you get what you got coming.

No, I made a hyperbolic relation between two unrelated instances to demonstrate how far that particular poster will go to defend any action that paints Tennessee, or one of its players in a negative sense.Did you just compare domestic abuse to a scrap on the football field?
We agree there. I think Callaway's overreaction was mind boggling to all of us.And Calloway's overreaction is mind boggling to ME

Heck, even soccer would have a lot of these women riddled with the vapors. It's football. Run 10 extra laps and let it go. All of the "kickem off the team squad" have no clue how to be a coach and would be fired in a month when half the team portals to another location. So many here really should go watch soccer.

I absolutely do not agree that Calloway deserves to be kicked off the team for his actions, but I also absolutely do not agree that his actions are a non-issue, nor are they excusable because of what the Akron player did or said, beforehand. He is responsible for his reaction and whatever consequence comes from it.
Why should he have done that? Bc you would have? And Calloway's overreaction is mind boggling to ME

I think we misunderstand each other............I am not for him being kicked off the team or anything.
