I wouldn't be happy about my income or net worth being public record. Apart from that it's a fairer setup than flat rate fines.

Do you think, like hog, the change would incentives tickets to owners of more expensive vehicles?

If the goal is revenue wouldn't they already be doing that? Why would it change at the street level?

Probably by a little. There's still incentive to pull over and ticket shabbier cars too, just like now, for additional charges that may arise.

This only works if they're directed to target instead of just write as many as possible. If that were true then it would be illegal.

How many kias on the road for every rr? It's always going to be about quantity and the numbers make it so the lower classes will be more affected as there are more. They're also better targets since they're more likely to be late, miss dates, etc. Even with a scaled fine you're simply never going to fund a city on RR drivers

You go from it’s ok to fine people varying amounts based on income to crying about all traffic laws are just to generate revenue and even tossed in some other random bs. If that’s the case why not just fine everyone as much as possible?

Driver- “ I don’t have a busted taillight”.

Cop- “You do now”.

It’s ok. They’ll make up the difference by shaking down the actual contributors of society in other ways to make up the tax difference….At least while they can.
