Our first game is at CAL and I dont know about you guys but all I have heard from that team is crying about how we ruined their season.We got lucky and they are better than us they say and even the media agreed......LOL give me a break because they got handled. They hate us and will be gunning for us to proove something. I really hope we shut them up for good.Hat says they are one of the most overated teams so we will see.

I would imagine that the losses to USC and Arizona didn't help their cause any. We showed last year that with the exception of USC, the Pac-10 is soft, and we will do so again and the beginning of next season.

It won't be too difficult. Cal loses a lot.

Agreed I dont think that CAL has the athletes to compete for 4 quarters. While their starters are very capable I dont think that their 2nd and 3rd sting matches up with UT's thus creating a tired and mismatched team come late in the game.

They couldn't touch us with Lynch, and they damn sure won't without him.

They only thing that scares me about the game with them next season is that we will have 3 new starters in the secondary, and Desean Jackson is going to be one of the best WRs in the nation.

We better hope the team isn't over confident... We sure seem to be.

That being said, if we don't beat cal, we won't beat many teams next year. Cal is going to be over hyped, and if we don't put them down, USC surely will. Let's not embarrass ourselves on ESPN next year...

I want to agree, but I don't necessarily think that is true. We will be starting new WRs, 3 new DBs, we will be replacing our best O-Lineman, we will be replacing two DTs. I think that this team is going to get better as the season goes on.

Johnathan Heffney will be back there roaming, so I would not be worried at all !

i bought in to the hype on Cal last year, won't do it this year until they show me something.

they lose lynch and some on D. i don't think just from a personnel standpoint that they will be able to just flat out beat us.

the only concern i have is that it's the first game of the year, and it's a cross country road trip. lots of variables to go in to the first game etc....

so barring us beating ourselves--turnovers, penalties--i'm not all that concerned, and this should be a game that we expect to win.

we just can't let this be a trap game......cal is one of the 3-4 best teams we are playing next year.....we have to treat them as such

It's a very winnable game, however the score from last years game best be forgotten or over confidence could nip us in the bottom.
