i don't see them being over confident for this game next year and even if they are, they will be excited just to be playing an actual game and not themselves in a scrimmage. i think they had a little bit to do with it last year, they were just so excited and ready to play last year, we just destroyed them
Last year, Cal came here filled with hype, preseason top 10, legitimate shot at Pac-10, offense guru Jeff Tedford, Lynch, how many Cal defensive starters came back, how many Tennessee lost, blah, blah, blah. I saw their players jump up and down, yelling "Pac-10, Pac-10" during the warm up. Tennessee surely destroyed the Cal hype. Hell, I hope we would not fall into this kind of preseason hype again. I went to some Georgia site, one dude already "predicated" UT SEC east champion next year, I was like: :twocents:
No one needs to mention Lynch and anything negative. He had like 10 carries for 75 yards. We didn't shut him down. They got very behind and had to stop running the ball, otherwise, I suspect it would have been more of the same.
Tedford didn't run Lynch nearly enough...Not really, he had pretty equal running in both halves I believe.
