I admire your optimism. I wish I felt the same. I don't believe it would require a miracle to beat those teams with the exception of Florida, but I'm not sure we have that type of talent. I think we could have a top three defense if absolutely everything comes together, but the front seven is probably more like fifth or sixth at best at the moment. They move up if we can actually make up for the losses of Taylor and Bituli. Top three would require their replacements to be significant improvements. I love the secondary. That looks like a real strength to me, so I'll give you that one. The offensive line could get there, again, if absolutely everything comes together. We'd need Mays to be granted immediately eligibility. Smith can't have any issues with blood clots. Morris and Wright must make tremendous leaps. If any one of those doesn't happen then they're not top three.I don't think it would be a miracle at all. We have a legit top half of the conference type roster. We'll be top 3 defense in the league, top 3 OL, top 3 DL, top 3 LB, top 3 DB and best special teams in the league. That's a bunch of talent and enough to have a chance against anyone we play. We've got 3 or 4 future All-American players on this roster.
