Yes there will because there were morons bitching about Tennessee going 8-5 after the terrible start they had.

I can't see any fan bitching about a 9 win season. I don't see us getting there with Pruitts early season track record but I'd be pretty happy with 9 regular season wins.

I agree. I think 2017 was the year all Tennessee fans had to face a hard reality. I think prior to that year a lot of us still had that "We are Tennessee and if we can just find that right head coach/qb/OC/DC.....ect then we will be right back up there with the big boys." That 4 win season made us all take a long, hard look at where we were at as a program and it really was not pretty. Pruitt benefits from the fact that we all realize we were a complete rebuild and it will take time. 9 wins would be fantastic next season. It shows continued progress, allows our coaches to recruit well showing that UT is slowly coming back and will start inserting Tennessee back into the national conversation (in a good way, not as the dumpster fire). Slow and stead wins the race.

LSU at 9 is comical considering at least 2 of the West teams have brand new staffs who have never practiced with their teams in Miss and Miss State. Realistically the only team on their schedule that MIGHT beat them is Alabama.

I beg to differ

I think they will be lucky to win 9. Texas, Fl, Auburn, Alabama and Texas A&M will all have a chance to beat them.

I believe we go 9-3 regular season. Losses to Oklahoma, Alabama and Georgia. Beat Florida at home. We actually have an easy schedule for a SEC school due to the continued weakness of the East that has been going on for what seems like forever.

I have to tell you though, I would not be surprised if we beat Oklahoma since it is so early in the season and will have a talented, but inexperienced QB at that point in time to run their key advantage which is their offense.

As a result, I would not be surprised if we went 10-2.

You're blind to the Tennessee message board blight known as the negavols:rolleyes:

And Bama has to come to their house....LSU definitely wins more than 9.

I wasnt reacting to taking over on 9.

i was reacting to seeing a schedule with Texas, Alabama, @florida, @auburn, @Texas a&m and “realistically the only team on their schedule that MIGHT beat them is Alabama”.

Eh, most were complaining about GSU and BYU which would have made a 10 win season, and rightfully so.

I don’t think anybody was unhappy about how we finished with 8 wins down the stretch.

The top 3 defenses in the conference will likely come from the east this year. Vandy and Mizz may struggle but the rest are going to be solid. If Vols or Ga can beat Bama, Ga and Fl pick up wins vs Auburn and LSU I think the East beats the West this season.

Here is my early prediction:

Charlotte - W
at Oklahoma - L
Furman - W
Florida - W
Missouri - W
at South Carolina - W
OFF
Alabama - L
at Arkansas - W
Kentucky - W
at Georgia - L
Troy - W
at Vanderbilt - W

9 wins, 3 losses

5-1 going into Bama game will be fun.
There's a good possibility of Tennessee's 3 losses of 2020 being to Oklahoma,Alabama and Georgia;)

I had predicted 10 wins. If the off season had gone as usual and we had Spring football, off-season workouts, and football in the Fall, I feel pretty good about that. With everything that has happened I have no idea how it will turn out now, but if I were a gambling man, I would take the over.

Spot on. We CERTAINLY aren't beating GA, FL, OK, or Bama this year barring a huge miracle

I don't think it would be a miracle at all. We have a legit top half of the conference type roster. We'll be top 3 defense in the league, top 3 OL, top 3 DL, top 3 LB, top 3 DB and best special teams in the league. That's a bunch of talent and enough to have a chance against anyone we play. We've got 3 or 4 future All-American players on this roster.
