Think any other thinking is off, that is perfect 7.5. We have a lot of unknowns the biggest is who will be our QB by October.
6,5 would not have surprised me we have QB situation and sans possession receiver Brandon Johnson we have young high upside WR's. With our QB situation especially in the Red Zone you need receivers that can go up and get it and own the ball. We may have those in the young guys but like I said a lot of unknowns need to show up with lots of chemistry.
RB & OLine should be strong points unless we become 1 dimensional.

That is the perfect number. Low enough to really entice you to put your hard earned money down, high enough to give them the odds. I did read an article last year that Tennessee has consistently been one of the worst bets in College football. Rarely covers the spread when favored, rarely covers it when underdogs. I will try to find it to post. Let's hope those days are in the past.

Depends on how much JG has improved, based off of recent years I'm going to say under. He's going to start and Pruitt already seems married to the guy so I don't expect that to change

Add to this lack of practice. I know, everyone is suffering with this, but with our situation of little experience at the key positions (other than QB, we know what we got or not got here) you point out, we likely will suffer early. Luckly part of our tough games come later this year. This "dead time" poses a question for me. Are the guys able to work/play/practice with each other, like QB's working with receivers or on timing with backs? This sort of thing.

I did an earlier analysis on the upcoming season schedule. Long story short, next season scheduling wise is about the best we could hope for. The 4 big games, Alabama, Georgia, Florida, and Oklahoma are all spread out with easier games or byes ahead of them. Also, we get Arkansas from the west while Georgia and Florida have tougher west schedules for once. Since we play Georgia in November, we will still be mathematically alive for the SEC east at the point. I'm not saying take the over, but if we just win 7, Pruitt will have lost the fanbase.

I agree with you on all except LSU. Like RockyTopTexas stated, LSU has lost too much to get that many wins. I bet they finish 3rd or 4th in the West, depending on what Jimbo is cooking in College Station.

A&M man.. they had the toughest schedule last 2 years. Had to play Clemson, LSU and Bama. They recruit well. I think Jimbo is about to set the dinner table

Florida draws Ole Miss from the West while they're not as bad as Arkansas but they're far from the creme of the crop, UGA on the other hand isn't so lucky.

I'm going to take the under. I think we will go 7-5 and win the bowl game (Liberty) to get to 8-5. I think we will be very competitive in 3 of the 4 big games (OU, UF, Bama, and UGA) but will come up a bit short. I think we are still challenged enough offensively that we will lose a game we shouldn't (picking USCe).

Until the struggles at the beginning and ending of halves are fixed and the red zone issues are fixed, I don't feel overly confident in anything more than 8 regular season wins...
