Yeah... that's not necessarily a fight the SEC wants either.Don't think I'd go against the SEC ruling.....They hold the money until they divide it among the 14 member schools.
Why the hell would we ever go to the Big 12? That’s awful. Stop.Yeah... that's not necessarily a fight the SEC wants either.
The Big 12 is teetering. They would LOVE to have UT jump to them. I'm sure the ACC and Big Ten would find a place for UT if they can't get fair treatment out of the SEC office. Both sides have some leverage if it gets that serious.
The suck offedness between Tahd and SEC office has to stop. What would Greg Sankeys response be if we're Bama, UGA, and LSU that were trying to get interconfrence transfers this year? Every decision the SEC makes is in favor of supporting current top teams to ensure a CFP team. We have to win on the field to win off the field with the current SEC office.
So, some lawyer like logic here; the NCAA cleared Cade to play, the NCAA declared that eligibility this year doesn't exist ergo, if Cade plays, he doesn't use his eligibility therfore he doesn't need permission to not need his eligibility to play!!!!!!
Makes perfect sense!
You still have to be approved to play. If you get docked for targeting, you still have to sit out two halves. Think of it like that. So, some lawyer like logic here; the NCAA cleared Cade to play, the NCAA declared that eligibility this year doesn't exist ergo, if Cade plays, he doesn't use his eligibility therfore he doesn't need permission to not need his eligibility to play!!!!!!

That's why I'm saying if it was good news we'd have heard it. If they were going to waive the rule they probably would have done so by now. They may not even make an announcement, if we don't hear anything, the rule will apply and we just won't be able to play him. There is nothing to hear. All for naught. There is a rule about undergrad transfers within the conference.
the problem is our AD and admin are stupid.
As someone stated on VN recently, we would have to forfeit the games he played in. No Thanks! So, some lawyer like logic here; the NCAA cleared Cade to play, the NCAA declared that eligibility this year doesn't exist ergo, if Cade plays, he doesn't use his eligibility therfore he doesn't need permission to not need his eligibility to play!!!!!!

I don't know of a case where a non-grad transfer has been allowed to transfer from one SEC team to another without sitting a year, does anybody? The only people I can think of who didn't sit are grad transfers or players who transferred in from out of conference like Aubrey Solomon. As long as the SEC policy is applied evenly we should play by the rules. We should have known this would be the outcome all along.
Let the cheaters cheat.
All the uga "stuff" will float to the surface; ain't no stoppin it. Mays is playing smart already!
Would rather not be severely punished by the sec over 1 player. The commish has a lot of power to punish, if he chooses. Just like he can make anyone eligible, if he wishes. Dude has a ton of power according to the bylaws, but they typically avoid it.I'm dead serious - play him anyway. The NCAA cleared him.
What? The rules were bent in 2016 for Mo Smith. The commish has ULTIMATE power to grant eligibility if he wishes. As he said at the time of Mo Smith's case, extenuating circumstances can overrule the current bylaws. Well...a d*** pandemic and a lawsuit creating a negative academic environment for a student-athlete would seem to be the one time to justify it.There is nothing to hear. All for naught. There is a rule about undergrad transfers within the conference.
