We'll be fine without him. However I'll be extremely disappointed if Cade doesn't get an opportunity to play a down for Tennessee. If he can't play this year, he's probably gone to the NFL in 2021.
Sankey was behind the scenes trying to stop it before the ncaa allowed it, so that ncaa could look bad, so he didn't have to. Sankey sucks.Just listened to an interview on the radio here in Birmingham this morning with Greg Sankey. He was asked a general question about in conference transfers that have been cleared by the NCAA. It wasn't about Cade Mays specifically, but.... He gave an answer as to the limited number of exceptions for a waiver to the of sitting-out-a-year and did not make it sound flexible at all. Said if there were other circumstances that should be considered, then the 14 schools need to address together and put in the conference rules.
After listening to his answer and the matter-of-factness in which he gave it, I'm less confident of a positive outcome here.

Still trying to understand why Cade didn't come play for Pruitt to begin with. I could understand him wanting to bail because of Butch but, I really thought Pruitt would be able to sell Cade on playing for him. Not enough time I guess.
SEC likely would have sat on the decision until this week anyway. I still don’t believe the timing of the request changed anything.Maybe you’re right, but this is the **** you deal with when you wait until the last minute. We could have been waiting on the SEC to make their decision on the NCAA appeal two months ago, not when the season is less than a week away.
”Liked” for the information given. Not liked because I believe you may be right. May’s playing this year is probably less than 50% based on Sankey’s response.Just listened to an interview on the radio here in Birmingham this morning with Greg Sankey. He basically recited the SEC rule. Cade has requested a waiver and is waiting for the SEC to grant or deny. Nothing in his comments change that, it was always going to be based on the waiver request. And I may be wrong, but I think it's the same waiver request that the NCAA approved. Hopefully the toxic environment and parents lawsuit will be enough, they clearly were for the NCAA. Let's keep our fingers crossed that his case is strong and it gets approved soon.Just listened to an interview on the radio here in Birmingham this morning with Greg Sankey.
