The bigger question at that point is, should it be his choice? The coach he hired is 13 games in. He took the AD job to help change the perception of his exit. Admitting failure that quick isnt gonna be a easy pill for Phil to get down.

My guess. If you want Pruitt gone that's gonna start with someone else making that decision.

Yeah I agree it won't be just Fulmer making that call..But they need to look at the long and short of it all and see if what they did is the right investment for the school and the football team...Football pays the bills around there so they have to be careful in what they do.

UT boxed itself into a corner well before Fulmer come back and hired Pruitt.

The problem UT now has is where do you go after Pruitt? That's by far an endorsement of his job at this point but they are 2 sides to firing a coach. We havent minded the first part. To date they ve failed at the second more than once with different people making the calls.

I ll go on record here. UT and its fans better hope Pruitt figures it out. While it may feel good to fire him after he walked of the field Saturday, that feeling is not gonna make the next hire be the guy.
