Bye Bye Cuonzo

I am sick of inside players with 6 inch vertical leaps. The number of point-blank points we left out there is astonishing, and don't even get me started on free throws. Don't we have a coach who can teach this simple skill? If we corrected either of these problems we would be undefeated.

Then it's time to show Mr. Hart the door too!!!

That's what wrong with our fan base. We're too willing to put up with crap and don't demand a winner.

Unfortunately, we can do little except vote with our dollars. If you are fed up, quit going, quit buying tickets. That's the only thing the AD looks at. When you buy tickets, you are voting to keep the coach around.

Now I'm not advocating anything, just stating how things work.

What do you guys think about NC State? Need to rebound after this one and win.

That loss to UTEP is going to come back and haunt us. I have no faith in Cuonzo. His teams play soft and lack fundamentals, like free throw shooting. They start out slow during games and league play and make stupid mistakes. This will more than likely be a repeat of the first two years of Cuonzo ball, so the OP may be right, because at the end of the year the early losses will get him fired.

Personally, I can't stand him as a coach and am fine if they can him.

We are on the road against the #12 team in the nation. Honestly, some of the stupidity/unrealisticness on the basketball forums recently seems to rival that of the football forums.

This is conzos 3rd year and games like today are really important due to the fact that the SEC is probably the weakest out of all the power conferences this year and with early losses to Xavier and UTEP its not looking good at all. Could they turn it around and go on an amazing run absolutely they can but based on Coach Martins history the odds of that happening are about the same of Kentucky winning the sec in football next year. So yea ill be betting on him getting his walking papers come march

Not going to happen as bad as I want it to happen. The whole reason Pearl got fired is still at UT and that group of people couldnt care less if UT athletics do well.

So wrong. Pearl got fired because he lied to the NCAA. Its not because of any administration. Us hiring him back would be the equivalent of OSU hiring Jim Tressel.

Gonna be had to make the tournament. At max there will be 4 sec teams in the tournament. Kentucky, Florida, and Mizzou seem to have 3 spots locked already.

Really? No one is talking about Mizzou...and if a third team is mentioned, it's usually the Vols.

Whatever else happens, I have seen improvement already this year. If that just continues, we could finish no. 2 in the SEC, and who knows, the way UK is playing, IMO we have a shot at no. 1.

The NCAA will take the no. 1 team, trust me.

Pearl got caught by the ncaa because the school didnt back him or give him any legal representation during the whole investigation. They wanted pearl gone, if you dont believe that then your naive

I wish but the fact that he hasn't been hired by a high major yet has me suspicious. I was calling for Marshall to be hired a few years ago.

The current administration and hamilton hired conzo over Marshall which we all know now was a mistake

This. Hamilton went to bat for him and was told he could go to. Thus Pearl gets the boot and Hamilton got $1 million severance package.
