For an aerospace engineer major Dobbs doesn't seem all that football smart. That last play he could have gone for more yardage easily and set up Medley for at least a better shot. Add in the devastating int's...the inaccuracy and he is a big reason this team is where it is. He can run...sure....but he makes waaay too many key mistakes.

When the thing went against your delusions because mostly of injuries, you aholes act like you are the owners and demand the coach be fired because Santa Claus won't be bringing you a national championship you didn't put any sweat into.

I have always been taught that MOST injuries are a byproduct of STrength and Conditioning and players playing NOT to get hurt.........When you have soft practices, players are NOT used to the physicality and end up getting injured in certain situations.... for example, look at J. Hurd last night when he got popped playing lackadaisy (sp??) when kelly was running the ball and the ssfety came up and smacked in the mouth when Hurd was not ready to block.......

What happens when we lose to Vandy and Kentucky this year? Do we still keep Butch another year?

I have been saying for years........is that all Butch is a "Cliche" coach and he's always making excuses for his shortcomings in his coaching talent.....Im still waiting for him to say, we are NOT putting the kids in position to succeed as he always says, this is a 1 on 1 league and you have to win the battles in order for his STUPID offensive system to work

You, me and a lot of others. Some here will never admit CBJ is a below average coach / yet above average recruiter. That's what he is and no matter the talent recruited, it will not reach it's full potential as long as CBJ is in charge. He is an egotistical control freak, disrespectful to the media and the sooner the powers that be realize this, the better off we will be, assuming the new AD will bring in a proven coach.

Sometimes it could be due to bad technique as well. It's probably not all on the strength and conditioning staff.

This game is really a Saving Grace. It saves me a trip to Atlanta, saves me kennel costs for my animals whilemI am at UT Games, saves me hotel costs, and just possibly saves me a large donation next year. An 80 inch super tv would fit that amended budget quite well.

We all thought that 2016 was finally the year, where our Vols would climb out of the SEC cellar! But to be honest, I really starting ? Butch and his staff, after we lucked up with a fumble recovery to beat APP St inside Neyland.

I understand losing the Bama game, and somewhat the A&M game. But the way we lost this SC game, was down right pathetic! Butch had our Vols coming out once again, looking totally unprepared with 0 disipline.

I really hoped that Butch and his staff, would get it really going this season, and take that next big step. As bad as I hate it, I really do think its time for another coaching search

I will wait until the end of the year and maybe the next to make my decision, but I will say that when he came in and said he is the CEO of the football team it rubbed me the wrong way because it sounded as if he was removing hisself from the responsibility of understanding Xs and Os and putting it on his assistant coaches while turning the HC position into a business type position. Regardless, our team still has the ability to finish strong and I am rooting for them and the coaches. This team has whipped some better teams only to crumble for various reasons, but they have shown they are not a bad team and they would not have been able to do it if they did not have a decent game plan.
