Hell no. No knee jerk reactions for one game. Geez. There definitely needs to be improvement in execution. I am willing to bet that Butch will get it figured out.

One game? Hmm...i think it's been going on all season. Two halfs of football....where they have been on. Vtech and Florida 2nd half.

Theres a sucker born every day, go ahead and bet the farm. I am sure one of the other CBJ sheep will share the basement with you.

I can answer that. Because this fanbase is infested with morons. All year long, you all have been making your brags about how this team was going undefeated and waltz into Tampa where whoever we played would hand us the trophy on bended knee. Anyone with half a clue about football had realistic expectations, because there were obvious question marks. But not you knuckleheads. You all have it in your heads if you throw a big enough fit long enough, we will get a championship.

When the thing went against your delusions because mostly of injuries, you aholes act like you are the owners and demand the coach be fired because Santa Claus won't be bringing you a national championship you didn't put any sweat into.

That is why this thread is stupid.

i can tell by the way he talks that he is not a winner. Listen to him talk how every matchup is going to be hard. That is not what a winning coach says. He talks like they are going to have to grind out every win. Tennessee Tech...gonna have to grind out a win and be 1-0. What a doofus!

He is being realistic because he knows our OL is terrible and is holding this team back.

10-2 and making it to the SEC Championship game was the expectation for the year. He failed miserably as he lost to the second worst team in the East. Botch never adjusts, Botch never adapts, and Botch makes consistently bad decisions as CEO almost every week.

I realize it's fresh, and it hurts. But you guys need some perspective. We have a coach who has brought us from absolute rock bottom to respectability. He can recruit. He scouts well. He works hard. He cares. He loves UT. And he's generally just a good guy. And his teams never quit. His only big negative is an offense that makes me want to squirt sriracha in my eyes...

Now, what do you think is more likely? Finding another coach with all of Butch's good qualities plus an explosive offense? Or finding a good offensive coordinator who can put points on the board, while Butch takes care of the rest? To me, it's obvious. Bring in a highly respected OC like we did with Shoop, and let Butch be a CEO like Fulmer.

Besides, look how we lost. We had no Kamara, no Hurd (basically), no JRM, no Sutton, no McKenzie, no O'Brien, no Foreman, and then lost Tuttle. At a certain point, your 4th string guys will cost you games (see CFA strip sack and Warrior busted coverage). If we can just remain patient and stay the course until we have a QB who can both run and throw (i.e. Guarantano), we will win plenty of games.

Ok. Tell us who you got in mind that will win us an National Championship his 1st year as a HC? You honestly think our AD will pony up the cash for a big time HC? You're dreaming son.

This was one of the worst teams in the league if not the worst. I didn't expect to compete for a championship but felt we should win the east. I'll entertain the defense struggling due to injuries. The offense is a different story yet we were inept. A third string freshman qb with little talent around him outplayed our experienced qb with better taken at every position around him. Our players are checking out. They no longer believe. Put your fingers in your ears and refuse to listen of you want to buy there was no reason, none, that we should have lost this game. We were dominated!

Injuries are for sure a part of the struggles but the team hasn't played a good game all season start to finish, coaching is suspect it's not even debatable IMO, the sweat part is moronic without fan support games wouldn't exist in the manner they do. Vol football means quite a bit to some maybe they don't sweat for it but I bet they would if asked...

I'll take a SEC East Title in year 4, which Botch failed to do. We already pay Botch 4.1 mil. We could get someone a lot better with 4.1 million.

He's had almost 4 years to fix it. 4 years is a long time.

Can not disagree with you there. He knows our line has been a bust. It has been shuffled all year for one reason or another mostly due to injuries. Most on this forum have no concept of how hard it is to find and maintain consistency with so many different alligment changes the coach has had to make week to week on the OL.

No they would not. They want it handed to them. Worthless pimples on the butt of the world. They would if asked? That takes a moron, Skippy.

If duty called, I would serve, and serve proudly. It's the bad decisions every week that bailed Botch out. He makes them almost every single week.

Too bad you can't botch ignore!!!!!! See Ya!

Was CBJ the one who got numerous block in the back penalties calls on great field position returns? Was Coach Jones throwing interceptions? Was Coach Jones playing undisciplined football tonight? Blame him, go ahead....You show your ignorance.

No, you just showed your ignorance. If these mistakes were not occuring on a regular basis, I would say it's the players. The numerous turnovers and penalties point directly to poor coaching. This is not a disciplined team, and that is Jones' responsibility.

Like Dubya said, Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. Well, Botch had us fooled multiple times.

You've made the most a sense of anybody on here. I totally agree that once we get a top notch OC and start a QB that can actually pass the ball, we will go to the next level.
People hating on Shoop don't have a clue. We are playing without JRM, Sutton, Mckenzie, Tuttle, Obrien, Foreman, etc. and still held SC to several 3 and outs with aggressive play calling.
If we had most of our starters and the offense would actually let the defense rest a bit, we would be a top 20 defense right now.
When the offense consistently goes 3 and out, your defense is going to wear down, especially with half the starters out.
Get a top notch OC along with Shoop, and let Jones play CEO and we will go to the next level. JMHO.

Nice sentiment, but what makes you think Shoop is going to stick around for this? The hottest DC in the business comes to UT, loaded with talent, and falls flat on his face. Whats the common denominator here?
