Briles is practically untouchable as it is right now. OC is the best he can hope for from any program above DII.

The Vols finance department must be one hellish place to work, given all the buyouts that the Vols do with coaches. I don't think TN can fire anybody right now. Can't keep affording to cough up money to coaches that aren't in Knoxville.

What we learned tonight is no matter how good of a team in the future we may have, after this , it will not be fun because we know we could lose to the worst team and season is ruined. After four years, no fan wants to settle for "just a bowl" game. Season is lost

We are caught up with buyouts. Dooly's last installment is paid in December.

I have, throughout this tumultuous season, stood behind this coaching staff. Now, however, I think that our OC should be replaced with my girlfriend, who isn't a coach, but, she did stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night.

Let me start by saying that I have refrained from posting on this site for Over a year, but I have to get this off my chest. It's quite simple. This is not a Josh Dobbs issue. He is not a drop back passer and was recruited to run the read option. Our OC is is an idiot for trying to make him something he is not. He was a bad hire from day one, and by and large, most UT fans knew this the day ithis hire was announced. He has tried to make Dobbs a drop back passer and has continued to run the "fake" read option. It is not organic. Anyone that has subpar football IQ can see that all plays are by design. The result is a stagnate offense that has kept our defense on the field way way too long all season, which by the way has resulted in several defensive injuries. Yep. I just said that. I blame Debord for much of our injuries on defense. Injuries occur when players are tired and lose their technique. This offense doesn't allow our defense any rest.

With all this said, I do not blame Debord. I blame our stubborn head coach for hiring this f'ing dinosaur. It was a bad hire (head coaching malpractice to put gently), and Butch has to take responsibility for it. People say he is a great recruiter. Nope, he WAS a great recruiter. Now that he has been exposed as a used car salesman which cannot only coach X&Os, but can't even make the most basic executive decisions, our recruiting will continue to slide. Look for this number 9 recruiting class to start to fall apart.

Now, I know a bunch of you will tell me I am wrong, and believe me, I wish I was. Nothing sucks worse than knowing that we have a dud head coach that will continue to win just enough games to keep his job for the next 2-3 years. Unfortunately Volnation, we are stuck in purgatory.

Feel free to rip me. I will read,,, and wait patiently to respond after Butch is fired. Until then, God speed Volnation.

Good grief. Whiners. What do you expect? This team has more injuries than any team I have ever seen anywhere at any level. We are getting close to calling scout team players up to play. You guys need to get realistic.

This staff has proven itself to be wholly incapable of understanding trends, making necessary changes quickly, developing a qb or any other talent at any position. In short, cbj and this staff just don't get it and can't get it done.

Realistic? So, it's not realistic to expect to beat the worst team in the SEC who is starting a 17 year old? :good!:

Step 1...Get the new AD in place ASAP.

Step 2...Wait until after next season to see what the new AD decides to do.

buTch isn't going anywhere soon and that's just reality we have to deal with.

Dobbs is a fabulous young man and a good football player but he'll never be a great QB.

STOP the ignorance of calling for JG to play some this season, he needs this redshirt season to learn and we want him for more years.
