Does anyone on this board believe there are insiders from the athletic department post here to give a positive spin on obvious negative situations?

One brillianr poster put a list together that incled me, Butchna, PJ and a few other fans.
We could tell you how much they pay us, but then we'd have to kill you.

Butch and agent asking for raise and extension right after loss to Vandy.... sounds like trying to force UT to push them away... either way we know he does not want to be here, which will not be good for the chemistry of this team moving forward.

If you believe Brent, LWSVOL, Brice, Chris Lowe, and a few others, Butch's agent was shopping Butch around to a number of programs including Purdue and Houston among others. If you don't think those guys are credible then OK.

Do I believe agents try to angle their client in a manner to get them more $? Absolutely. Dumbo Fishers agent at FSU does it every year with LSU. And one year Dumbo's agent even used UT.
Agents get paid on a % basis of their clients salary.
Do I think for one second Butch wants to leave UT? Not even close. In spite of the minority of idiots here, he loves UT.

Correct--- losing to Vandy hurt his stock and folks turned away that once had some possible interest... he is basically stuck here know (buyout too big), and we are stuck knowing he doesn't want to be here because he was out looking.... wonder what the players think at this point?

If your agent is out kicking the tires and testing the interest levels of programs, then you can pretty much deduct that Butch gave him permission to do this, knowing how this action would be perceived once folks found out....

Every agent for every coach in America does this.
Yes even Saban's boy Jimmy Sexton does this for him. It's how they (coaches and agents) make a living.
Car salesmen sell cars for as much as they can. Insurance agents push the highest policies etc. It's a business to them plain and simple.

Those guys mentioned also mentioned that he would leave to take another job because he felt unappreciated here. Said he would even look at a lateral move. It was more than just tire kicking in order to leverage for a raise and an extension. I know from a few sources I have that he was in discussion with another school not mentioned since the SC game. He may love UT but he would have entertained offers to leave.

As to folks saying Purdue didn't want Butch, that is false. There was no way they would have entertained the thought of even matching his salary let alone raising it and they definitely were not going to pay his buyout so that was dead before even got started.

Butch Jones would leave UT for a few jobs. A very few jobs and none of them are open.
