The Vols stock (offense, defense and special teams) took an immediate drop with the opening kick-off, but fortunately recovered from those early losses to finish neutral or in some cases with some positive gains.

Tuttle: Buy! Buy! Buy!
- Shy had a number of explosive plays last night breaking through the VT O-Line, and his fumble recovery was pure hustle. It's great to see him moving so well after his injury.

C Shoop: Hold -> Weak Buy
- After a shaky 1st quarter, Shoop's defense made adjustments to stop the VT offense, but still has some unanswered questions. VT didn't punt at all the 1st quarter, and punted 5 times the rest of the game along with 4 fumbles. They were 4/5 on 3rd down conversions in the 1st quarter, and only 2/8 the rest of the game. However, Shoop's defense still gave up over 200 yards rushing and 214 yards passing (VT's QB was 20/28 for the game).

Dobbs: Remains a Hold - Dobbs had a great running game, but was only 10/19 passing for 91 yards with an interception, and appeared to still be making some questionable decisions.

Jennings: Buy - whether or not he remains a WR or moves to defense, Jennings showed his toughness last night and his ability to fight for the ball. This guy just likes to play football and it shows in his aggressiveness.

Thomas: Sell now and take your loss - perhaps it is due to injury, but Coleman's stock is dropping fast.

C Debord: Sell - I don't see Debord's stock moving either direction until after the FL game. The offense still looks rather generic, and I doubt we'll find out anything next week against Ohio.

C. Mahoney: Sell
- The offensive line needs a lot of work. How many times are 3 D-linemen going to be allowed to put pressure on Dobbs when we have 5+ people who should be blocking.

C Jones: Remains Neutral
- C Jones needs to be thanking S Jones for getting the Vols team fired up to play.

I love how you left out Dobbs threw for 3 TD's in his stat line. I also love how you want to sell on the coaches although they have won 8 in a row averaging 35.5 points per game during the stretch while only allowing 15.75 points per game. There are other items you left out but I think everyone gets the point.

Go Vols!

Regarding leaving out Dobb's 3 TD passes (of which much, if not most, of the credit should go to the receivers) I didn't include the full stats for anyone. So your point is as relevant as me saying that you conveniently left out the fact that Dobb's was also sacked twice. And there are other items you left out as well, but I think everyone gets the point.

And ftr, I'm also not "selling on the coaches". I listed two coaches that have under performed imo, and specific to those coaches and the only two games played this season, I think most would agree that we could make better investments.

PS. He called a good game = win...not gonna talk about all the gifts either...:)

GO VOLS!

Josh Malone - Buy Buy Buy! I've been one of his biggest critics because he has all the tools better never performed to expectations but I feel like he has finally figured out the WR position. He should be getting targeted downfield multiple times a game. He has now proven he can catch the 50/50 balls and can beat almost anyone deep. He's a very talented young man and we need to utilize him more. We will need that big play ability against UF.

Pretty clear that the first two games have exposed some major flaws with team 120. Hope they make me eat these words but I'm selling this Vol team. Maybe they get over the hump with UF and win the east, but I'll believe it when I see it.

Completely agree. Should have included Malone on the Buy list.
