The Vols stock (offense, defense and special teams) took an immediate drop with the opening kick-off, but fortunately recovered from those early losses to finish neutral or in some cases with some positive gains.
Tuttle: Buy! Buy! Buy! - Shy had a number of explosive plays last night breaking through the VT O-Line, and his fumble recovery was pure hustle. It's great to see him moving so well after his injury.
C Shoop: Hold -> Weak Buy - After a shaky 1st quarter, Shoop's defense made adjustments to stop the VT offense, but still has some unanswered questions. VT didn't punt at all the 1st quarter, and punted 5 times the rest of the game along with 4 fumbles. They were 4/5 on 3rd down conversions in the 1st quarter, and only 2/8 the rest of the game. However, Shoop's defense still gave up over 200 yards rushing and 214 yards passing (VT's QB was 20/28 for the game).
Dobbs: Remains a Hold - Dobbs had a great running game, but was only 10/19 passing for 91 yards with an interception, and appeared to still be making some questionable decisions.
Jennings: Buy - whether or not he remains a WR or moves to defense, Jennings showed his toughness last night and his ability to fight for the ball. This guy just likes to play football and it shows in his aggressiveness.
Thomas: Sell now and take your loss - perhaps it is due to injury, but Coleman's stock is dropping fast.
C Debord: Sell - I don't see Debord's stock moving either direction until after the FL game. The offense still looks rather generic, and I doubt we'll find out anything next week against Ohio.
C. Mahoney: Sell - The offensive line needs a lot of work. How many times are 3 D-linemen going to be allowed to put pressure on Dobbs when we have 5+ people who should be blocking.
C Jones: Remains Neutral - C Jones needs to be thanking S Jones for getting the Vols team fired up to play.
