Were fans, not the team. I bet those guys don't fear butler.
Butler seems to be a fine team. Lets face it all the teams at this point are pretty good.

During his time there, UWM was our fiercest rival. It was pretty evenly split. UWM beat us on a buzzer beater in 2002, and them we beat them on a buzzer beater in 2003. Because of that, it was a pretty heated rivalry. Before and after Pearl, they haven't really done so much, which is sad, but that's what makes him such a great coach. He's indispensible.

Fair enough. We have Vol fans here from old and ornery to young and inexperienced. But throughout that spectrum we're all Volunteers in our souls. That's what you guys have to deal with. Should be a great game because all of us that follow college basketball have great respect for the Butler Bulldogs. Personally, I just think the Volunteer heart will be too much for your guys... Here's hoping all the players give their all and everybody finishes the game healthy.

I hear you. But really what have we been getting out of howell or ramar for that matter. If prince doesn't turn the ball over a bunch, i can't see where this move really hurts us.

Pretty cool. Butler looked mighty stout against USA, it should be a good game. Here's hoping that our experiment at PG works out, because I don't think we can press and run you guys into a W.

It dosent matter if anyone on or around Rocky Top is scared of the Butler power house? But the question should be Lofton,Chism,Smiths,Crews,Howell,Pearl,and the supporting cast are they scared? As John Ward would say "No..... Sir.....eee".

OK, ummmm............. does shooting 3's all day not bother you? Personally, I would love to hit 3's all day. We already got a team that shoots alot of 3's, but all day we would be unstoppable.

I said shooting not making. No I rather have an inside game as well as our outside game. Butler better hope they can rip the nets up cuz that weak inside game aint gonna work

If we play Butler like we played American U then we're in deep doo-doo boys...Butler,short and white means nothing they are a very nasty and explosive team,should be fun to watch.

Haha, most of those are just some ignorant Butler fans. Every team has them.

No team should ever be scared of another team, if they are they are done for. If Volunteer nation isn't nervous about Butler though, then you are just downright ignorant. It will be a good game.

I'm nervous ... but it's mostly because of our inconsistent play. If we come firing on all cylinders, I think we will win handily (15 pts). But that's a big "if," we haven't played really well in quite some time.

No disrespect to Butler, btw. They kicked our a$$es last year. We owe them one.

I think the game against Florida this year in Gainesville was excellent preparation for what we face Sunday.

Florida couldn't miss in the first half, we went down by 15, and kept our cool to come back for the win.

Even if Butler cans a ton of threes in the first half, we have the potential to quickly cut the deficit and come storming back.

1st off,Lofton has to get out of his little slump and shoot 3's with them. We are just as explosive, faster, and more athletic than they are. Just get out on the 3's fellas, and we'll be ok. But I am I nervous? Hell no.

I'm nervous about playing UNC, but Butler? Come on now...
