If he loses to Arkansas this weekend, he doesn't deserve a 2nd year nor does he even deserve to be the head coach at Tennessee.

Agreed 10000000%. Fire him right on the sidelines and tell him we will ship his s**t to his house....kinda like USC did to Kitten. I have been on the Butch Bandwagon from day one...but this is OLD and I am still PO'd.

You know, if Butch coached with that attitude, we'd be 4-0 ranked 8th in this weeks AP pole

Gentlemen 4 and 14 .. We have rush 3DL and drop8 allowing floridas QB to hit a 62 yd touchdown! Oh yeh check out stats on the Offensive play calling! WR were absent in this game. We now have an Offensive Coordinator from the big 10 who has been absent for years from coaching and then in the big 10!! Watch what happens the remainder of year. Weight win 6 games!

Remember the most of the fan base threw up with the hire..

He made his bed, now he's gotta sleep in it. Hopefully, he apologized in the locker room to the players for costing the Team 2 games. By now he must know he has to be more aggressive with leads late in the game. We will see this weekend if he has learned anything..........

No they're all wrong. Every single football analyst in America that's been critical (which by the way is every one that's bothered to weigh in). Butch said so himself. He educated some of the journalists today. He coached good enough to win and proof of his aggressiveness is that he went for it on fourth down in the first quarter and threw a jump pass. Apparently, he the new urban Meyer with his gutsy decisions

Well if he wasn't doing his best Dooley impersonation in games that really matter he wouldn't be. I think he might have even topped Dooley. Now that's hard to do.

There are some serious issues besides the game management. I'm not with the 'fire Butch' crowd, but we have some issues. We have some elite wrs and no one in the country will ever know their names at this rate. The second half of games expose our ineptitude in the passing game. It also helps the defense when trying to mount a comeback. Opposing teams dare us to throw with nine in the box, knowing we won't. A screen pass on the last series I think would have worked a tad bit better than Dobbs shuffling to the right on third down. We almost ran that series like there were only seconds left in the fourth qtr. It was a very strange site. I put a lot of it on the oc. I think Butch needs to do a 180, and get a fb, and run a traditional offense. We already have punishing backs, great wrs, great TEs, and will eventually have a dominating defense. But I am old school. Maybe I'm wrong.

God bless you for your post. I fell in love with your avitar!

Are people really wanting him fired? I thought we were *****ing and moaning cause he can't manage a game. Also, knowing we can't fire him until the end of 2016 because of his contract if then.

He's guaranteed 2 million a year through 2021. Let that roll around in your head for a few minutes. Also I think their paying Dooley until the end of next year. We're pretty much screwed forever.

I've been paying attention to everything I can from local media, to online sources, to ESPN, and SEC Network, even forum boards of his former teams, neither of which had anything positive to say about what transpired. If Butch Jones was getting away with being just a great recruiter and a terrible game day coach this conference is the one that will either force him to make better choices or break him and send him packing. He simply won't be allowed to get away with mediocrity and losing games like he may have at previous schools, especially not here at UT. It won't matter what contract Hart concocted for him.

The media set him up, the media is knocking him down. I'm just shocked!

This doesn't make any sense... The media didn't set him up, he set himself up. He set the expectations.

It's year 3, we had more talent than UF and he choked because he doesn't understand x's and o's... The media is doing their job pointing that out.

They are all insane. As some on here have posted, its not Butchs fault and anyone who criticizes his coaching ability just doesnt know what they are talking about.

We are young, Butch is building, its a process, brick by brick, blah blah freakin blah.
