Now, I am sure there is more to the story, but watching our first 4-8 finish EVER tells me he had some profound failings in leadership greater than play calls or cliches. For all practical intents and purposes, the team quit trying to win. This entire season reminded me of the Wyoming game after Fulmer announced he was stepping down. They seemed that unfocused, but for the entire season.

Hopefully Pruitt is a straight up guy that has more true character than to pull that garbage. If he does, the Vols will be fine going forward. And then if I ever see Fulmer, I just might owe him an apology. And no matter what, John Adams can still go to Hell.

“Considered a really good coach”? By whom? No, that ship sailed years ago. I’d say in 2015, after the Oklahoma and Florida debacles when he snatched defeat from the jaws of victory with his complete ineptitude. Nobody with any objectivity thinks Butch Jones is a good D1 football coach.....he’s proven over and over again that it just ain’t so.

IF he ends up at Alabama as one of fifty bazillion analysts that Saban employs, he’ll be so buried, so far away from the action and decisions on the field, that he’ll never be heard from and have zero influence on the outcome of any game. All this talk of “Jones to Bama” is, and I mean ALL it is, is one client of Jimmy Sexton doing a favor for Jimmy Sexton, to help rehab the image of another client of Jimmy Sexton who badly needs it. Let’s all try to keep that in mind here.

Seems like Butch could have gotten non P5 job. Or gotten his buddy Brian Kelly to hire him at ND. Guess he's trying to stick it to us.

I forgot about that guy, trying to maybe help him behind the scenes of Butch Jones hiring at Alabama to make him look good? I don’t think it will work. You’re right, he will be quite as a mouse, and never hear a peep out of him. Let saban deal with his car sales talk.:eek:lol:
