It's a continued movement in forward progress. Last year we lost by 2, this year by 1. Next year is a tie. After that,we win by 1
I'm just curious to see how many people from last week who kept making it sound like we were wrong about him decide to continue that stance now.
I'm still not in favor of the coaching staff. I will say I was excited to see some plays that weren't the norm early in the game.
Wife was wondering why I was not excited closer to the end up by 13, cause deep down I knew. I'd be a fool to believe we might pull one off.
I said in the live thread that our best shot is for us to be even or behind in the game going into the fourth. In that event the coaches can't play it safe later on, thus forcing the coaches to call aggressive plays. Unfortunately we got over a one pos lead and then the status quo play calls followed as usual.
Also we will never survive with a QB being the sole provider of yardage rushing the ball. I know there's a lot to blame for this, the coaches, the OLINE(tho this can fall back on coaches not setting them up for success in practice or game day, and calling same plays over and over), the receivers not getting open(which I don't fully buy into), then a QB who isn't a true dual threat QB. To be a dual threat QB you have to have both running and passing. Some of this blame again is on the play calling, but a few decent passing by Dobbs doesn't constitute as a good passer.
To all the ones still on the fence, I know the concern. I knew we needed to get rid of DoDo like everyone else. I was just dreading starting over yet again. But in case you don't know much about Memphis Tigers Basketball in recent years, it's the same situation. A very powerful team thru the years, decided to go with a coach who is great recruiter. He's got plenty of talent in to the program as HC, but has never and will never produce with it. It's not working out for The Tigers BB team, all the talent in the world can't consistantly win games when the one pulling the strings isn't capable of leading.
Tired of seeing teams with less talent, and in this case a first year coach pull off a win over us. Then hear people act as if it can't happen like that, we have to continue to grit our teeth and move forward. Continuing the way we have and we will be the same as the Tigers BB team, a non treat, and it'll only set us back even further years later.
The team we played against tonight has less talent and a first year coach, with several key players out... They still pulled out a win against us. Georgia has more youth that us this year, and they some how are sitting real pretty.
