It is one thing to shout all your coaching wisdom at your TV screen in the privacy of your own home on Saturday.
It is quite another to write it up and post it in a forum that thousands of others see at their leisure.
Don't let the lack of disagreement in your living room fool you into believing you've got it down. That can lead to the latter (posting here), which can be embarrassing when it becomes obvious you don't know nearly as much about the game as you thought.
Many variables go into Hurd's running path on each down. There's not only the called play, but also Dobb's call on the option (if that's part of the play), and the OLine's blocking success (or failure), and Hurd's vision, and the timing of the handoff, and what's happening at the edges, and on and on.
To isolate just on the play call (which is almost always DeBord, anyway, not Butch) is to way over-simplify matters.
Better to stick to just yelling at your TV screen. It doesn't talk back.
