But why would anybody want to watch Bama beat the brakes off of Tn a 2nd time. It would be worse than the first time.
Plus Tn does not deserve to play in it.
I can't believe how bad we played last Saturday night knowing what we had on the line. Not sure Hurd being off the team is going to turn things around. This team lacks confidence all the way around. We are slower and weaker than last year, with the same players in the same system .We don't deserve it, and another drubbing by Bama in the Championship will likely put us in a worse Bowl than simply winning out.
Face it, Butch squandered his opportunity to elevate his stock. I've said it before, and I believe it.....he's hit his high water mark here.

It doesn't help when your QB can't throw except to the dirt, your defense is on the field constantly, and your OC seemingly doesn't know how to scheme or adjust every other week.
Dudes, we blew one game. It's not like we suddenly haven't beaten Florida, Georgia, or Virginia Tech, or tied A&M in regulation ... four good teams.
Okay, we blew it against USCe. That does not mean we're gonna choke in the four remaining games. I personally don't think we're going to lose again this regular season.
There's adjusting to a new reality, and then there's hyperventilating. Let's don't hyperventilate.
It seems somebody may have been asleep at the wheel since the bowl game...it's really seemed that way all year if we're honest.
I'm not Butch bashing here...honest question. Is it possible that he privately thought we were at the level to win big, and thought he could coast? I've thought, and stated, for a while that Butch really doesn't get the SEC grind, and how each and every game is meaningful. That is a point that has been driven home most clearly this year with our west division losses, and our giveaway to SC. Does Butch just not get the big picture? It's not a condemnation, as much as a serious concern. It seems like he's still trying to figure all this out. It's not the MAC.

I don't know any high level coaches. I work with high level folks in other fields. Very few of that sort coast. It is part of their DNA to be driven and ambitious.
